I agree. I'm still trying to get over being raised a Christian.

i would like to point out that you obviously don't understand the definition of Brainwashing. Brainwashing is defined as the act of coersive persuasion. I know that my parents never coersively persuaded me with the bible. And I dont even identify myself as a christian. I just find it offensive that you labeled something as brainwashing when it is so clearly not. Your tactic in this question actually fits the definition of coersive persuasion much better than use of the bible to instill values and morals. Try researching Brainwashing before trying to brainwash people with your ignorant claims.

Are you brainwashing your child when you teach him/her not to touch the hot stove?
Or are you sick and abusive and let the child find out for themselves?
Does teaching right from wrong mean its all brainwashing?
It doesn't matter what kind of religious indoctrination a child may receive, they will assimilate their morality from the example they see in their parents. That's a scary truth, isn't it?
What kind of little bigots will you raise up, when you make such blanket statements condemning all of Christianity?

Normal is asking these stupid questions? We feel much better and more normal if our children are raised in the Bible.

Totally! All religions like to brainwash children when they are young and believe what adults tell them.
There is a saying 'Give me the child and I will give you the man'.
Only too true. I am a free thinker!

I grew up in a secular home just like yours, no bible, just a money and tv loving old man who would hand me a beating every chance he got. In my Christian home, my two little girls are given all the love we have to give, and biblical principles like stealing and hate and racism are wrong, if you have a problem with that, then your sick

Hi!
Homosexuality, moving in with boyfriend/girlfriend, adultery, abortion, swearing, rebellion...Is that normal?
God created us to glorify Him.People call sinful living "NORMAL" because sin has entered in them so much that they no longer see evil in it!
It is like someone living in a dry place who is used to eating untasty "wild stuff", and when he comes to a "normal" place where he can have cup of milk, cheese, bread and fruit juice, he says to those who live there "You Guys don't live normal!"
Is sin "normal"?
Hug!

i do not think so. there is nothing wrong with trying to teach your children to do good in life just try not to teach them to feel superior to the rest of humanity.

I've been Wiccan for 15 years and am still traumatized by what 'growing up withChristianity' did! I'm raising my son as non denominational. There's enough crap in this world that he has to deal with without some book giving him a complex.

Nothing could be far from the truth than this. Either you are sick or are being brainwashed by the Devil himself.
