I also say bi polar. You need to get to a psychiatrist right away for testing. If you get too depressed or too manic(happy/antsy) you could get into serious trouble like suicide or other bad things you would not naturally do. Once you get diagnosed or not, there are a number of things you can do like take meds, exercise and even try to reset your sleep habbits. Once I started to take ambien(a sleeeping pill) every night I get 8 hours and am up and feel good. you'd be surprised what the right dose of sleep can get you. Just get to the psych. don't be embarrassed or anything, I have finally gotten over the stigma. Plus at your age, being diagnosed with bipolar early can help you make decisions about your future like kids and other responsibiliities you will need to take on. good luck and I hope you get well soon grin.

I agree that you could be a bear...but if thats not the case
Sleep and rest are habit forming. Its like a drug. But what people dont realize (especially people that get headaches) is that when you "over sleep" your head starts to hurt, and when that happens you tend to lay down. Belive it or not, a lot of the pain actually comes from trying to keep your eyes closed when they dont need to be. Like scrunching them closed during the day to try to fall asleep.
The way to solve your problem is to not fall into that habit of over sleeping. Ensure that you try and maintain a normal sleep schedule...doesnt have to be 11-7 just has to be the same # of hours each day, (with a little more on weekends hehehehe). Your body will tell you what you want and make up for the difference when you lose hours or even gain extra hours.
Being hyper/antsy is not a problem. SOme people wake up in the morning and sing in the shower, others drag their feet. Doesnt mean that anything is wrong with them because they need to do something.
I also suggest taking a ONE A DAY multivitamin like Centrum A-Zinc or something of that sort. Low Iron levels will tire you out, but I'll bet your just like I was, and thats all it turned out to be.

I am bi-polar, manic depressed.... One day hyper the next down. If you aren't taking drugs or drinking, I suggest getting a psychological evaluation for bi-polar disorder. This is not normal, get help, honey. Kitty

You do need to see a doctor for a full examination and investigation into your problem. Often mood swings like yours are caused by nothing worse than a hormone in-balance which can be put right with ease. Don't panic but you do need to get it checked out.

I sleep for long periods of time too. Stress, what you eat, and certain medications are the result of that.

Join the YMCA, or an exercise class. It will help
your energy kick in.
Write out how you would like to spend your day,
for a whole week.
Then try to follow it, like a schedule.
