good question, but he would serve. Jesus do not seek unfair treatment when he walked the earth, otherwise he would not have been born in a stable. he would serve like any other man in that country, as he is here on earth to live the experience of how a man would live. Do not use him as an excuse not to serve army, cos this is a responsibility that any man would gladly take up to defend his country, his family, his children. If moses does not feel obliged to take up the responsibility of bringing him men out of egypt against all odds,i think they will still be slaves. the question should be, how do you want to be judged, in the eyes of fellow man and in the eyes of God. FYI, i served in the navy for 30mths.

I just got a fax here from my friend Captain Obvious who is the Director of Obviousness down at the Institute for Blatant Solutions, or I.B.S. and I have decided to share the fax in its entirety in resposne to the question regarding jesus and the draft. The text reads as follows:

"consciousness objector"

look it up, thank you, good night.

with love,

Captain Obvious

End of Transmission.

he would hav probly served as a doctor/healer or he would hav gone to make peace
he would be out fighting and bombing inocent pple
fighting isnt cristian
also jesus would never kill a man cause murder is a sin
and jesus is not a sinner
therefore i think pple should not fight wars
they should just solve problems over a conference table while thinking "what would jesus do?"
n the world would be a better place dont u think

If Jesus was here on Earth there would be no army and he would not be drafted. Jesus would go back to Heaven and take all believers with him.

and again:

dude! wake up! it's the 21st century. religion is so overrated. god is just an old guy who had a son with a virgin in a very strange way, as it is told in the oldest story-book of all times - the bible. all is storytelling, dude...
if you are a believer it means that you are not thinking for yourself, but in the way u were tought to think. free your mind of all stories, man. any kind of stories - including that jesus stuff.
find the strenght in yourself, do not seek 4 it somewhere else.

Jesus taught us to obey the laws of society unless they conflict with Gods law, I think Jesus would have gone to the battle field as a medic

If Jesus Christ was on the planet today, the potency of his presence would automatically nullify everyone's desire to fight, having been purified by his feet touching the earth.
Therefore negating your question.

Jesus isn't a killer. He would talk to the world and hopefully start forgiving people. But He is divine, we aren't. Thus we let our emotions, anger, pride, jealousy get the better of us and we fight. Fight or flight are our options and leaders like to fight to make themselves look tougher. If women were presidents and leaders I doubt there'd be much fighting. That's if the stubborn men listen to them.

Well the father commanded war before, and since you believe that the father and son are one... i don't see why not.

No Jesus would not serve. Jesus' told his followers that they would know each other, because they would have love among themselves. You can not have love and kill at the same time. And Jesus said to love our neighbors as ourselves, and to love our enemies. And Jesus said that the whole law (10 commandments) hangs on this--LOVE. If you have love you would not want to break any of the ten commandments......KILL
