Ok guys, I need your help again.
I just started college (YAY!!!) as a freshman, and I've been living in the dorms for 3 nights with my new roomate. She's really nice, I can tell we won't be best friends, but we get along alright.
However, as you can tell by the question... there's an issue.
She snores, and she knows she snores, but I don't think she realises how much, or how loud it is.
So I was up until 4 AM last night, and 5 the night before because I couldn't get to sleep (because of the racket across from me) and once again she's keeping me awake (it's 1:12 here and I'M EXHAUSTED!!!!).
So, I really like her, but I don't know what to do...
any advice?

Okay, the thing with really loud snoring is that she needs to get it checked out. Loud snoring is often a symptom of sleep apnea, which is a easily treatable medical condition that would let you both get better sleep. Talk it over with her, send her to this website- http://www.sleepdisordersguide.com/, then tell her to talk with her doctor about seeing a sleep specialist. This could be more than just an annoying habit.

In the meantime, ask her to sleep on her side, try and elevate her head, and use the nose strips. These things all help.

If she isn't willing to look into this for her health or consideration for you, they do sell some nice sound blocking earphones, or you can look into getting anything that produces white noise- fans, air filters, even some devices that are designed for just that. http://www.epinions.com/White_Noise_Machines

Here's a link to sleep disorder centers, to find one near you.

Best of luck, getting a good night's sleep is always critical, but rarely more so than the first few weeks of college. Congrats on starting college, by the way! Study hard, but not too hard!

Sit down with her, and tell her that you don't want to come off as mean or insulting, but her snoring is a problem, and would she give any thought to stop snoring treatments, like nasal strips. And if she won't, either invest in a pair of headphones you can wear to sleep, or ask for a reassignment.

What law makes it compulsory for all Food Items Producers in India to have the FPO certification mark with number so the consumer can check what exactly has FPO tested, what are the lab results? I bought a MELAM pickle bottle and then I found it contains more Chilly Paste than actual pickle. I couldnt find FPO mark in it either. My favourite pickle is 777 and it does have FPO mark and ID in it and it contains more pickle than chilly paste. So I want 777 pickle for export. NOW

is she overweight? That can cause snoring.

Get some big stereo headphones.
or Change your room. The college won't mind, they must get a lot of students who do not get one for some reason.

Is it possible for you to get a new room? If that is not a possibility try earplugs. Unfortunately for both you and your roommate, she is not able to control her snoring.
