I think that sometimes it's a carryover from another relationship, either with a real person, or a fantasy lover that this person strongly reminds you of. Believe it or not, that's how it started for me being attracted to my crush. After that, his sweet personality, and his warm heart took over. Trust me when I say, I won't be forgetting him, ever. This is wether we actually physically hook up or not. So if it happens to you, this might be why.
