How come ice cream scoops always get pitted after using it for awhile?

Ice crystals do a number on the scoops.

Are you putting the thing in the dishwasher? I find that the cheap ones so that when put into the dishwasher. Buy a better scoop!

I think I was told it is from putting them in the dish washer
it has something to do with the type of medel and the dish soap
but I may not remember it exactly

mine dont do that.. i got mine from pampered chef.. its a really good one to.. you should check it out..
