To me, arbitrage betting is too time consuming and requires too much capital for a small return. I tried it for a month or so, and the number of events that result in an arbitrage are few and far between. And, I found that you would need to make significant wagers (500 or more) on each side of the event in order to be guaranteed a 1-3% return. And you need to open accounts at many (approximately 10) sportsbooks and fund them all so the money is there when you need to make a wager -- this is a substatial initial investment!
So, I am sure that it does work, but I do not care for it.
Best of luck!
Robert
PS. If you still want to try sports arbitage, then you'll need to open many sportsbook accounts. I have accounts at these sportsbooks, and they can be trusted:

Sports Arbitrage or Sure Betting is about making risk-free profit from taking advantage of the different odds that bookmakers offer on the outcome of the same sports event. It was a well-kept secret in the past, but with the spreading of online sports betting it became available to everyone interested. Sports arbitrage has plenty of benefits and is a legitimate way to make a few bucks. Arbitrage betting is popular in a number of sports, including tennis, darts, hockey, cricket, golf, snooker, and football. And the best thing is that arbitrage betting is legal, provided that your state laws allow betting or gambling online.

arbs by themselves can be pretty tedious since the typical profit on each set of bets are less than 1% (or even less than 0.1%). if you find a couple good games each day, you'll probably do better than a savings account though. just be careful not to make any mistakes where both bets end up losing!
however, combined with deposit bonuses and other side promotions, then you can make some impressive profit. many sportsbooks will give 10-20% on every deposit, and your rollover is theoretically risk free if you find arbs between different sites.

I would guess that most will allow at least 100,000... but would require a call to be made to them. I'm a member at about 5 sportsbooks right now and all seem to be able to handle max amounts.
