I don tknow if this is true this is about the 3rd time Ive heard something about it but I do think that like w any other gene alteration experiment it will take a VERY long time to perfect it if it can ever be done & you should be preparred to expect defects in health & personality w these animals as they are artifically created not natural....Ma Nature doesnt really like it much when we phuck w her work

that's the rumor they're letting the mass population right now because they are trying to divert peoples attention away from what the scientists are really doing. there are two major puppy studies going on as we speak. the first one is in california where they are breeding genetically engineered dogs that are going to be about the size of a large cockroach when fully grown. some breeds that are showing promise are rottweilers and pit bulls. they are breeding them smaller in california because of overpopulation in the cities. over in virginia they are making a breed of superdogs that will be over 12 feet long when fully grown. not much has been leaked as to why people would want a 12 foot long dog, but that's the latest word. hope this information helps you.

Why would a scientist do that. I am sure a mini/toy Golden is in the works but I am also sure it is being done by "breeders" to get a new fad dog that they can charge thousands for!!!!!!!!!
It will end up like the toy Aussie. A total genetic mess!!!!

If that's true what drty said, that's horrible. Don't know why we have to mess with stuff that shouldn't be messed with.

Not sure about staying puppy size, but labradoodles and such, they breed labs with all sizes of poodles, I'd imagine you may end up with a small one if they breed it with a tea cup poodle.
