RE:
block load calculations example for HVAC?

A block load calculation (often using software to perform the calculation) in HVAC design relates to calculating the heating and cooling loads on large portions of a building (i.e. a "block" of classrooms facing West) vs. calculating the loads of individula spaces (i.e. Classroom 105). A block load will often be performed based on building exposure (N,S,E,W, Internal spaces). It can also be performed on the entire building at once. It's a quick and easy way to come up with a fairly accurate heating and cooling load for a building during early phases of design.

air conditioning is what they do. they usualy consist of two or more compressors and 2 or more electric heaters.the are controlled by microprocessors and have their own control wirings that automatically lead them to their cooling or heating stages.they also have some thermostats and pressure switches as sensors and protectors.
