i am an 19 year old male and stumbled across some websites about wicca and think i might be interested not for the whole hocupocus bull but the connection with mother earth some one please give me some advice

Earth Meditation
Offered by the meditative practice of Lorrie Eaton
Look at the well-known NASA picture of Earth or whatever picture of Earth you'd prefer. Then place your hand on your heart and say the following invocation.

Let this beautiful planet be filled
with loving kindness.

Let this beautiful planet be well
and healthy.

Let this beautiful planet be filled
with loving kindness.

Let this beautiful planet be well
and healthy.

Let this Mother Earth be filled
with great joy, peace and understanding.

Let this beautiful planet, our home, be filled
with good will and the will-to-love.

And so it shall be.

The words of the invocation vary, but the tone is always the same.

Following this, pick a place to start, i.e., either the core of the Earth, the water, the crust, or the highest mountains. Then visualize the molecules that make up your chosen place adhering to each other, bound by the Creator's love.

For example, imagine the molten core of Mother Earth resonating with the heartbeat of creation. Moving from the place you have chosen, envision the oceans, the ground water, the lakes, waterfalls, the rivers, etc. all filled with loving kindness. As you are doing so, imagine all the molecules dancing with joy. Then see everything that lives in the waters, the coral, seahorses, trout, algae, etc. purifying the water, living in total harmony. Express thankfulness to those in the unseen world who are helping clean and purify the water. Then move onto the air, the crusts, the mountains and whatever has your attention radiating love as you go.

Next send love to all beings who are friends of the Earth; that are helping her in anyway. Then imagine the unseen spiritual masters and teachers, the incarnated spiritual leaders, political leaders, and others flooded with loving kindness and overshadowed by love for the soul. Move on to the geographical areas of the world that are suffering (Bosnia, Russia, Ruwanda, etc.) and imagine all the people shaking hands and circling the globe as one family. Finally, see loving kindness within and surrounding your friends, family, professional life, and community. Close with thankfulness to the Earth for the gift of life.

The Earth is indeed a living thing, as everything is made of
spirit. The book of Job says, "Ask the Earth and it will teach you.
And the birds of the air and they will teach you. And the fish of the sea will declare it unto you."
I have checked into magic and found it to be a real ability of
our spirit. But magic is an easy way to learn to use ones spiritual power and it has its price.
Paul said, "Now that you have known God. Why turn again to
the weak and beggarly elements. Do you again want to be in
bondage?" Those who try to control spiritual forces at this material level only bind themselves more to those things.
Ruth Montgomerey in "The World Beyond" speaks of how we
must learn to break away from the planetary spheres. The
forces of Creation having a profound affect on our bodies and spirits at the lower dimensional levels. Magnetism lies behind the
truth of many things.

The study of other religions is the only way to understand your own religion fully. Some young people find the practices of a different religion more in keeping with their personal beliefs and convert to the other religion. Parents should provide a firm foundation for spirituality, but each person must decide what is best for them.

Keep an open mind as you research more about different religions. As with anything dealing with religions, many people may condemn you for even considering the other religion as valid at any level. The extremism of those people cause religious-based wars.

I am not Wiccan, I am an All-Pagan Pagan Reverand and a Hellenic Druid if you can handle all that, so I can't help you out much with Wicca, but somebody at Witchvox can, I'm sure! join some pagan related yahoo groups and talk to people that actually practice. books are all well and good but you never really know what the author actually knows. many people just write down a few lines of history and make up the rest and try to pass it off as ancient tradition...

We are all connected, and to become aware of the Earth as someone rather than something is a good start. You don't need to be Wiccan to realize this.
Her heart, her mind, her body are not as we think of as human, yet nevertheless, she does possess these things. We are her voice.

He has a plan for your life. Start in John and read to the end of the book and then go to the beginning and read some every day, its spiritual food and you need to feed that spirit man in you every day some of his word, then his spirit that you asked to come into you will guide you into all truth. this is having a relationship with the spirit of God living in you and revealing himself to you through his Word! Be careful not to dabble in witchcraft. That is an abomination in the eyes of the Lord. Turn from that and ask the Lord of Glory to fill you with the power of the Spirit of Christ. Ask and you shall receive. Trust Christ and not the devil who is behind that wicca stuff.
