No babies are killed in an abortion. It's not a baby until it's born, only a potential one. And it is really no one's business but a pregnant woman and anyone she chooses to involve what she does about any pregnancy. You are correct that a woman has a right to her own body.

It's not the women's right, it's the babies right. How come the baby doesn't have the right to live or die? It's a living being that has organs, making it a being with rights. Just because it is in someone doesn't mean that it loses those rights. Would you have wanted your mom to abort you. If she had, you wouldn't be here, and don't you make a great contribution to society? Quit having sex before marriage and you won't have to worry about condoms breaking. Oh and by the way, STD's and AIDS is still on the rise. While were at it, let's go kill anyone the age of 21. What would the difference be between killing them and killing an unborn baby? There have been instances during an abortion, where the baby actually cries when it is aborted. Still o.k. to you. God created life, and this process is His miracle, quit murdering babies!

Well, a lot of women that get abortions are not raped or were not using any form of birth control. Abortion should not be used as a form of birth control. If a woman does not want to get pregnant she should be on the pill and still have the guy use a condom. I know someone that had a couple of abortions and when she wanted to get pregnant she had several miscarriages. And the person above that stated a baby is not a baby until it is born...that is such bull. A baby is alive at conception! Think of it this way...does a dead plant grow...no, because it is not alive. If a baby was not alive from concpetion it would not grow and the human race would cease to exist!

yeah...well its concidered murder no matter what. You can't fix one crime by committing another. First, if the ******* condom broke and you got pregnant and dont want the baby...then maybe you should keep your little legs closed if you arent ready for a baby! Sex will lead to pregnancy and/or STDs. COMMON SENSE. Next...if you were raped...then im very sorry...ADOPTION IS BETTER THAN ABORTION! Concider all the more appropriate courses of action. Dont just kill something that did nothing bad to you...never hurt you. Only wanted you love..your attention...your time. Its murder no matter what way you look at it. I know a girl who was raped...she kept the baby. She cries everyday because she is reminded of it, but that baby is the best thing in her life. She is a better person now because of that baby...her kid is 3 years old...they never could find the person that raped her. She's got a great life....You were given that baby for a reason....sort of like a consequence for your actions. Stop having sex if you are going to murder someone.

I am ProChoice, and though I don't think abortion would be right for me... I could never tell another woman what to do with her body.
I was sexually assaulted at a young age, and thank god I was given the option to have the morning after pill! It made me very sick and I literally vomitted for at least 7 hrs straight, I felt like I was going to die. At the time, I mentally could not even process the fact that after being so violated, I might actually be raped all over again by being invaded by a pregnancy that I did not want.

let me tell you, girlfriend. most of these people on here, playing God, judging other people, are only pro-__________ (fill in the blank), until something unfortunate happens to them. most of the people i know who judge others about abortion, are people who, 1) can't conceive and are really sensitive about the subject, 2) want to adopt and are really sensitive about the subject, or 3) have been fortunate all of their life, and use that as an excuse to judge people with whom they can't relate.

i am not pro-abortion. i am pro choice. and i feel that a woman has a right to do make choices that are best for her and her body. and yes, women also need to "choose" to be responsible with their bodies. a lot of women are very responsible. but a lot of people make human mistakes, as well. the way i see it, if people were using abortion as a form of birth control, then society would not be full of single, teenage mothers. some people get in unwanted situations. once that situations comes, every one in the world is entitled to an opinion....but it's only one person's choice of what to do. all the rest of us need to just mind our own business.

trust me, most people who condemn abortions are of an age and/or circumstance that the concept doesn't even relate to them. i am sure someone could find a factor or circumstance in their life and have a BALL ridiculing them about it. that's just the way life goes.

getting pregnant bec of rape is a tough one. i guess if im in the situation, ill do the same, have the baby aborted.

but if one gets pregnant just because the condom broke or for whatever other same lame reasons, do you have the right to kill the baby? no! you can do it freely if you don't have a conscience but it is still wrong.

now, if you think we have to stop thinking negatively about the women doing this because it's their body, how about doing the other way around? go get a life and don't mind us thinking negatively and judging you according to what you did. if you're free to have your baby killed, we also have all our rights to think, say and judge you the way we want to.

simple as that.

I am not judging you... and yes I can understand if you were raped why you wouldn't want the baby... But, there are so many people who would love a baby and are unable to have one. I had a 3 month old baby that died of sids (crib death) and I am unable to have any more children because of health reasons. I would give anything to have one, so it is a little hard for me to understand not going ahead and giving birth and putting the baby up for adoption if you still feel the same way once it's born.

YOU ARE RIGHT. I have never gotten an abortion, and probably never will, but a woman has the right to choose. also if the pregnancy is tubal then even getting that removed is considered abortion, so that is not right to say someone is wrong for having an abortion.

It's the baby's body, not yours. That is a human being, not a piece of trash. A person just like you. So you become a burden to your parents because they lose their job, or their house, or whatever. Do they have the right to kill you. You are inconviencing them. You are costing them too much money. They couldn't help it if the company fired them. You have to go now!

I got an abortion when I was 17. I thought I was too young, I was unemployed, uneducated and the guy I got pregnant by was a total jerk. All I could think about is how my life was going to end. All I could think about is what are people going to think. ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT IS ME!!! That was my problem...all I ever thought about was me. All I cared about is does this guy like ME, I don't want him to leave ME, what will everyone think of ME, I want him to love ME, I have a life to live....ME, ME, ME, ME

22 years later, I have two beautiful girls. I look at those wonderful human beings, that laugh, and run, and talk, and play, and learn, and grow...And I think it's not about ME. If I had just thought about my mom, my dad, my teachers, my friends and less about ME...that person would be someone now. I KILLED A PERSON. I didn't get rid of a blob of cells. I killed a person. I have to live with that for the rest of my life. All I can do now is hope that I'm the best mommy possible for my second two babies. I would have been a terrible mom then...but someone would have been a good one. I know now I should have given that baby up for adoption. I should have thought of someone other than ME.

Unwanted pregnancy and abortion are totally wrong because the root of both is selfishness, self-centered thought and actions at any cost.

You are angry because you are feeling guilty and you don't want to admit that someone is else is right and you might have to think of someone other than yourself. You don't want to think of anyone but yourself. You don't want to admit that having sex outside of marriage is wrong. You just want to do what you want to do and you don't want anyone telling you its wrong.

It doesn't matter what you want or what you think...It's wrong. It's murder, it's selfish, it says something about YOU.
