Demographics show that even if we stopped immigration today, the country will become more Latin because the average Latino has over 2 children whereas the average non-Latino has fewer than 2 children. There is no stopping the reality.

You want more data? The average democrat lives in a city, is well educated, and is not married and has less than one child. The average Republican lives in more rural areas and has multiple children. The country is slowly becoming more and more religious, right-winged republicans. This was predicted decades ago and we are seeing the results now with the need for a more moderate republican like McCain having to kiss *** to religious leaders. The assessment when this information first came out was that we needed more moderate Republicans to have more children or more liberal democrats to have more children. It was said as a joke. But how do you convince a woman's lib person to get married and have children and as many children as possible. This trend is also expected to continue over the years.

Some of you are reading too much into the intent of the message. I am learning Spanish because I see the future. This country will be more Spanish and there is nothing anyone can do about it, despite the right wing. The best thing to do is start taking Spanish lessons. By the time I retire, more channels on TV will be in Spanish than in English.

One more tidbit. The average well educated person (like Masters or PhD) marries much later and has zero to maybe one kid. The average person living below the poverty line has more than 1 kid and usually out of wedlock, fathered by different fathers. Given this, if we took a 20 - 30 year look, our country is becoming less educated and the disparity between rich and poor will only increase. Check the Bureau of Labor Statstics on pay scales for different sub-groups of the US. Over the past decade, the wealth disparity has been increasing, especially when adjusted for inflation.
