I went in to the doctor last friday and they diagnosed me with a kidney infection and gave me some medication called nitrofur which is generic for macrobid. I have been on the medication for four days now and I am still having bad adominal pain my fever has been hitting about 102 then I take tylenol and it goes down for a few hours. I am also still very weak and dizzy, and my muscles are very sore. My prescription was for seven days. Is it normal to still be feeling this way after four days of medication?

Don't wait til morning....... you should consider hitting a late night walk in clinic or a hospital. That fever is too high for an adult if you're already on meds that should have you feeling almost back to normal by now.

how long did your doc advise you to take the meds? you have an infection which usually requires a 7 day treatment of antibiotics. if after 7 days and you are still not feeling well, contact your doc asap!

Go back to your doctor right away, you need something stronger or maybe an IV for awhile.
