There are essentially two sides. (1) Upholding the law is more important than needs of humans or businesses. (2) Even if they are foreigners who broke the law, businesses need them and our economy needs them. Just curious. I am undecided.

I think it has been proven over and over again on this forum that business doesn't NEED them ... business WANTS them to make a bigger profit for themselves without passing the savings on labor onto the consumer ... what this administration is doing is knowingly allowing our laws to be broken so their business buddies can create a permanent underclass of illegals .. people with no rights, who have no comeback, and can be hired for less money than American workers and fired at will ...

Business doesn't need them, and the economy doesn't need them ... quite apart from other issues they bring with them (no background checks, no medical checks, etc., etc.) the cost of 20 million illegals here is enormous ... even IF all of these people paid taxes, which they don't, the fact that they are paid very little makes their tax base very low ... the benefits they get (schools, hospitals etc.) cost far more than the taxes they bring in ... that is, those who DO pay taxes, which has been generously estimated by some as being in the region of 60% ... I have seen much lower figures quoted, but even IF that was the correct figure, the equation just doesn't add up ...

I guess there really aren't only two sides, because I don't like the way either one of those is worded.

I am for upholding the law and keeping illegals out.....but I do care for humans, i care for business too, but ONLY if it's not a business who thinks it can treat their legal employees like **** and fire them at will to replace them with someone that's illegal for them to hire in the first place so they can make more money and the person who got fired is screwed. The majority of Mexicans are not coming here because they want to better their lives. Have you heard of La Raza? They want to re-conquer our country! They are getting benefits from the government that comes out of the taxes YOU pay and they don't. The money you and I pay in to the government is being given away free of charge to people who haven't contributed to it. Do the math....more people taking out than putting in......that equals less benefits for you if and when you really need it. Are you ok with that? Would it not bother you to have to work until you're 80 years old because the social security you worked your whole life for has been given away?

As for the other side....I feel sorry for the honest people down in Mexico who DO want to come here to better themselves but can't because they want to come legally and there are so many doing it illegally, there's no room for them. Do you want criminals, drug dealers, and liars, or do you want honest hard-working people coming up here???

I'm more in the pro-side, since most of these anti's don't make sense..

Immigrants are needed for the economy. They tend to be harder working and that's how the economy expands and grows faster...

Even though they did come here "illegally", they should pay some sort of fine.....

After they pay a fine, and they have a back round check, they should be given some sort of chance to apply for residence..

Doing so will have its ups...

Taxes being paid from ALL immigrants, immigrants can grow from their social status, but they should be required to learn English...

By passing HR4437, the economy will go DOWN,...

just imagine how much money it'll cost to deport ALL of them. They don't just come from Mexico...

Many businesses will go bankrupt for lack of workers causing bigger businesses to also fall...

The only bad by giving them amnesty is that all these whiners will complain that they broke the immigration law and that they got away with it...... A fine will be good if the only "crime" was to come here illegally....

I would pay a fine if I broke the law for speeding....why shouldn't they?

I think everyone should have the opportunity to come to the US and legally establish themselves, learn the language, get a job and pay taxes. The problem with illegal immigrants is that they are a drain on the economy because they use social programs, medical care, law enforcement resources, etc. with taxpayer dollars and contribute nothing, many (not all) think we should cater to their language and culture, and it is a huge disrespect to those who went through the years of process to do it legally. I guess I would have to choose your option 1, but would welcome immigrants who respect us, our nation and our laws just like we need to do and just like we would need to do if we go to their country.

Well, I feel its not about NEED...its about the law...if immigrates want to come to the state they have to do it the right way ....like another law you there is concidecnces. but on the other hand....not all the people that come across borders do it because they do not want to deal with the paperwork to get to the US...its because they can afford it or for some reason the US wont allow them....but really with all that is going on starting with terrorist attacks...THE US really needs to be careful..People need to be on file that enter the US because so they can be tracked if need be...its not about the jobs its about our safety....you just never know...

I am on the pro amnesty side....I believe most undocumented workers are only here for work....For those who have been here and have familes here, they should be registered with the govt and allowed to stay, provided they are not on public assistance....

For those who have committed felonies, they should go to jail or be sent back to Mexico, or where ever they came from....Remember, not all laws are moral, for me it is a moral issue....Was slavery moral? No, but it was legal right?

Business hires illegals to keep cost down....If we send illegals back to there homeland, all these businesses will go overseas...

properly theres the splendid part, and the incorrect part or as many call it, the illegals part. There are basically too many detrimental issues for me to place in writing, verify the hyperlinks under. listed under are all of the constructive issues from the illegals: absolutly no longer something.

I want illegals out of my country. I'm tired of their arrogance and stupidity. I am definately anti-criminal. I am anti-illegal. DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS.

I'm on the legal side. I don't care who. I don't care how. Just be legal!
