A month ago. I break the same little toe every year. It's sucks, and they can't do anything for it.

I dropped a bureau on my foot like 2 years ago. Not quite a stubbed toe, but the same end result.

Reading your question hurt the big toe on my right foot. A hardwood sleeper fell on my toe a few years ago which caused the rapid onset of excruciating pain which wasn't eased until blood spurted from under my toenail. The nail eventually fell off and has regrown into a weird shape.

that's called a hematoma and you can prevent the popping off nail by heating the end of a paperclip and melting through the nail to release the pressure

im really clumsy...broke both pinky toes and second toe on left foot. got the nasty toenail thing from having a couch accidentally slip from my hands while i was helping move it. took such a long time for it to grow back out. yuck!

in grade 7... we went skiing with our class, and my boots were too small.. when i got home i noticed my nail was purply and hurt like hell to touch it..
the next day i poked at the skin and all this blood drained out from under the nail.. i went to the doctor and he slid little scissors underneath and cut the nail in half, then ripped each half out
*shudders*
