I can save lives in worse case scenarios.......boys scouts aren't gay either, we keep the gays OUT.

The type of girl who would look down on you for being an Eagle Scout is not the type of girl you would be interested in anyways. But you might want to keep the intolerant, homophobic comments quiet, or most girls will look down on you for that.

It all depends on the area you live in. In California, Scouting was the coolest thing, because of the mountains and so many things todo their.
Girls do not care about the hole scout thing, it's just like she was 10 years old again. She might admire what you did if she understood it more.
I suggest you never talk about it to any girls, unless she talks about her father being a scout, only then should you ever mention having been one, be humble, just say you got the Eagle Scout, then it will mean something to her.
All the rest need not be aware of it, kinda like telling people you are a Ninja, most will not beleive you, the others don't think you are a liar.

So your saying if your gay you can't learn to save lives in worst case scenarios?? I don't understand why you threw that comment in there. No one thinks boy scouts are gay dude. RELAX. I can't see why they would look down on you. It takes a lot of dedication to reach Eagle scout. You must be very determined and hard working. All good qualities in womens eyes. You might want to tone down the homophobe factor though.

I don't think so. Why? If the girl is interested in you; as a person; then it should be a plus that you were once an eagle scout. It shows the character and ambition you have to reach after your goals. To me, that would be a plus on your side. Another thing, the girl should be interested in "you" as a person; and vice versa. Beauty is skin deep. What really counts is who you are in the inside. Are you caring? Are you willing to be a gentleman with her? It's the inner qualities that make a man; or a woman. There are many "beautiful" people out there that act like children.
So, in my opinion and once being in the scouts myself, I think it should be a plus and look beyond the beauty and see what the young woman is really like from the inside out.

no she wouldn't look down on an eagle scout good looking or not if shes not shallow, but she would look down on the gay part (I agree with emily brown18), try to be more openminded about the world. research says that sexuality is determined in the womb by hormones and genes, so it's not even their choice to be gay, they're born with it. know your facts before your say something like that (boys scouts aren't gay either, we keep the gays OUT.) about people and remember be OPENMINDED

I don't think a girl would look down on a guy who was an Eagle Scout, however she will look down on an Eagle Scout who is an intolerant homophobe.
Intelligent girls want real men who aren't afraid of their masculinity and real men aren't bigots and insensitive morons.

Girls tend to like "bad boys". They don't have to really be bad at all. They just need to have a whiff of danger. With an Eagle scout, they're never gonna get that. There are some girls who really like to feel secure, so you need to find one of them. Just be prepared (oops, don't have to tell you that), many girls like that are somewhat scarred. The reason they want the security is that they haven't had much safety and stability in their lives. I'm sure that there are other girls out there who would be attracted to you but the wounded ones are really common.
