thats what i thought but instead ther sending him home before he graduates why would they do this he only had a week to go before his graduation from boot camp they claim he graduated but cant be part of the ceromony

The military does allow recruits to attend basic training, or boot camp, in the summer between their junior and senior years. They will not, however, allow that attendance to jeopardize the recruits academic performance. If they said he graduated then good for him! Now he has one more graduation to work toward. Sending him back so that he did not miss any school was a smart thing to do!

I guess it's different for each school . . I know at my school, kids were excused from school because of boot camp . . but like I said, every school is different . . . talk to your principal and see what can be done about it . .

It just means that he misbehaved, and they don't want him to be part of the graduation ceremony for fear he will misbehave again or they are punishing him for his first misbehavior.

Try to teach him self discipline, and he won't need such external discipline.
