I'm talking at midnight tonight to catch an in-store performance at the Virgin Megastore.....do you know if they have their own parking lot?

No, the Sunset Strip is relatively safe. The area where the Virgin Megastore is should be just fine. It's only when you head a little further east, that the neighborhood gets a little rougher. But that area is not considered to be the Sunset Strip.
The Virgin Megastore does provide parking.
But, I guess you already know that since you went there already. I hope the show was good. Who performed?

Depends what part of the "strip" you are talking about. Sunset anywhere east of La Brea tends to get a little bit sketchy. You stay West of La Brea ie West Hollywood which is your typical sunset strip with clubs restaurants it's very well lit and very safe. A lot of people walking shopping clubbing all night. Stay West of La Brea. The Virgin store is in a pretty good area a lot of high end shops etc around. Parking can be tricky i believe there's a lot behind it but it is not big. You will probably have to look for parking on the streets surrounding or park in a pay lot there's many nearby.
Be careful in this area as street parking at night can be limited only to residents with special placards on their cars so read signs carefully. This part of Hollywood is extremely tow happy!

It's safe if you're going to a performance of something. there is usually security for the places that have large #'s of people exiting a building at once & their cars. And, then there's also security in numbers.
Contact the venue to find out what the parking situation is like. I'm sure you'd want to get there early to get good parking, then just have dinner or do a little shopping in the area.

You'll be fine, don't listen to these idiots. I've been to the in stores at virgin, tower, and amoeba. theres cops and private security and theres never been any problems. I guess if it's hip hop or some other ghetto thing there will probably be violence but thats just part of the culture.

Not terribly dangerous but not exactly safe either. Depends how late. If I was going there alone I would have my knife and pepper spray on me (as a woman alone) .. but as a guy you should be fine.. There's just alot of bums.. Which part of Sunset Strip exactly? And by night do you mean 9pm or 3am??

The Virgin Mega Store is located in a very well lite up street, c'mon it's Sunset Blvd. one of the biggest/popular streets in L.A. Your safe, just enjoy. But be careful you might get hit on by a few men.
