Since half a year ago, I stopped having meat for dinner, say after 5pm. The reason is I don't seem to be able to digest meat after that hour. Trial and error along the way, and I realise that food like bread, fish, and soluble foods are fine, but not for chicken, beef or fruits like jackfruit etc. If I do consume the latter after that hour, I get gastric reflux which I developed years ago. Can anyone identify and relate with the same condition as mine? Someone told me it's got to do with my intestines and it's cancer leading.

my son went vegan on me last year...i would assume that no meat has increased his health immensely (no asthma) he has also lost 28 pounds (could of stopped at 14 pounds), but has bottomed out and now is leveling 138. healthy.
considering all the crap they now use on and in animals and the foods they eat, no wonder we are seeing an increase in reflux, gerd, cancers of intestinal organs.
your smart. keep on vegan'n on!

Age is the greatest factor to acquiring, inheriting, and experiencing crazy changes in the body. The reflux is actually expected because your metabolism has slowed down and the digestive and gastric cannot break down the meat products as rapidly as when you were younger and full of energy. Enhance
your metabolism with exercise and proper diet. A great supplement is Chorophyll which cleans and releases toxins
from the colon. The build-up and misuse of bile filters can cause colon cancer but not what you are experiencing. Remember in order for the body to function as designed, you need meat , fish, fruits, and vegetables and healthy compositions
of cabohydrates. It takes time to change metabolic impropriety
in the bile, colon, gastric, and digestive. This formula is
called Rita's Poo Poo - eat to live and live to eat according to
your metabolism. Remember you control what crosses your tongue and water is the unbiased equivalent of good healthy products. Even the Diabetic can enhance the quality of life if he or she eat, eliminate, and replenish. This is my formula for
Rita's Poo Poo. Eat and be happy! Release and feel Great! This
is not for throat killers such as anoxeric victims. This is for people who desire to live whole and healthy.

Not necessarily leading to cancer. It's just a case of weak digestive system. Meat is the hardest to digest of all food. Allegedly, it takes three years to completely expel the residal remains of meat from the digestive system (haven't found a scientific reference for this yet). Plus, when the stomach becomes inured to digesting softer food, it tends to produce less gastric juice needed to churn the food.

My grandmother has had this forever and she is around 85, she is fine.....don't know the exact condition but she seems to be ok. Also check into galbladder disease, it is heriditary and also a history of hormonal pills such as birth control can sometimes bring it on. There is really no way to prevent getting this disease, but you can help it by like you are doing not eating after a certain time or limiting intake of certain foods...the cure is removal of your galbladder in a surgery. Very common.
