i used to drink regular 2% milk but about a year ago switched to silk soymilk. i love silk-it tastes great (regular milk had a much sweeter taste to it).
it has the same amount of protein and calcium in it that regular milk has, plus it's fortified with 11 vitamins and minerals and also contains all the essential amino acids your body requires.
i also found that if i try to drink regular milk now-my stomach gets upset....
it has many health benefits too
-it reduces the risk of heart disease
-it enhances bone health
-decreases the risk of certain cancers
it also lasts longer than regular milk and does not contain any preservatives or hormones that are put into regular milk
for me-the switch has been great healthwise-i also give it to my three children and it has reduced the hyperactivity in my youngest daughter which has been a blessing....

Soymilk is a lot healthier, and it tastes better too. The thing with regular cow milk is that it's full of hormones. When dealing with the cows, they stimulate their milk pockets with warm water beds, which allows them to produce more milk than usual; which also causes the milk to be more vunerable to diseases like ecoli(i don't think i spelled that right.). So owhen you drink cow milk, you are drinking rotted cow's blood stimulated with diseases.
Soymilk, on the other hand, is quite organic and safe, and they use only soybeans. With Soymilk, you can trust it's promises of natural ingredients, and absolutely no hormones. Rice milk is good too.
Also, if you're worried about fat, there is low or non fat Soymilk, which has less calories, fat, and cholesterol as regular milk.

Soymilk is trendy, cow's milk is not. Liberals drink soy milk. Non-liberals drink cow's milk. Unless you are allergic to one or the other, in which case you avoid what gives you an allergic reaction. If you want to compare fat contents, go to the store and compare the nutritional labels, or look it up online. If you want calcium, just take two Tums a day. you'll get a huge, cheap, readily absorbable amount of calcium. Don't overdo the calcium or you'll get kidney stones. If you're taking calcium because you're worried about osteoporosis, just get a DEXA or bone density test.

Soymilk has a lot of protein, which is good.
But soymilk also has a good deal of fat.
All milk has protein.
Skim milk has no fat.
I usually like skim milk the best. But sometimes I like soymilk too, especially when it is flavored (although that often adds extra sugar calories).
One of my favorite milks is rice milk. Have you ever tried it? Its less sour than soymilk and very refreshing.

It depends on a person's age, culture, and digestive system also. For babies, mother's milk is best. Formulas based on milk with added nutrients are next. A lot of people can not drink milk, for various reasons. Many cannot digest the double sugar in it called lactose, and many of them use soy milk as a substitute.
Here are some links to sites that compare the two:

Soy milk is better. It has the same amount of calcium as cows milk without all the added antibiotics etc that are pumped into cows for milk production

I had to visit my fridge for this one. Soymilk has more calcium but more fat than fat free milk or skim milk. Soymilk keeps longer and tastes way better in smoothies. Whole milk or fat free milk is better for baking.

Soy is fortified with calcium. So, you're okay as long as you're drinking the fortified stuff. If you can get organic cow's milk then it is healthy. Otherwise I'd stick with soy.
