Yes, I would fight a man in a martial arts tournament and I am quite furious that they do not allow it in most tournaments. I spar with males in my class all the time since the class is a majority of males. In fact, in one style I was learning, jujutsu, I was flipped over my partner's shoulder and face first into the ground. He began to panic when he saw me get back up and tapped out right away. When I am doing a regular spar, I am fast and I try to look for openings all the time. When I was blind folded I kept my belt on (the object was for the opponent to unknot and remove your belt...and you had to defend it) for twenty minutes (I gave in to being tired and stood there to let them take it off) while the others only had their's for 3 minutes...I also ended up kicking someone in the jaw during those twenty minutes. So yes I do believe girls can take on a man in a tournament. I believe I would too.

Of course! Don't you like a challenge? I find that although men can be more powerful that women, most women are faster... And what better way to try out your skills than at a controlled tournament? Good luck!

Men at his best will always be stronger(even if less weight), and faster, and best body control, and fight better by nature too. I think that men fighting women it is morally wrong, even if very young, and what is the point? It is easy for a woman to want to fight a man because if she loses it is only natural, but if wins, will be very happy with the guy embarrassment and humiliation, women have nothing to lose. Men fighting women will only cause unjustified and sick anger and conflict between the genders.

And I almost forgot, when men fight women, they know they are fighting a women, and they always fight very bad, they seem to block. They are very protective towards women. The opposite thing happens to women when fighting men, they enjoy hurting men.

while i cant speak for the women, i can tell you that i got my @s$ handed to me more than once by a girl that i studied martial arts with for several years. her name is alison, and she's probably 6 inches shorter than me, and i've easily got 70 lbs on her. she's just friggin fast and has perfect form. i cant tell you how many bruises i went home with from her. it took me years to work my way up to being evenly matched with her in the sparring category.

Never fought a girl in match. However I use to be a sparring partner for a professinal female Muay Thai fighter. She does beat me up pretty good but also got beat up by me. She almost knocked one of my tooth out once.

Also only one of two person who ever knocked me out was a girl. It was in a boxing sparring with Jessica Rakoczy and she was only person to knock me out with hands! She was only person to knock me down from sheer pain due to blow to body.

In a controlled environment, women have as much chance to win as men.
