ok, knowing that melanoma is the fatal type of skin cancer... does it matter where its found? like with other cancers if its like anywhere near your spine or something then its a lot worse than anywhere else. is it the same with melanoma? does the place of the cancer make it worse or is it just that you have it kinda thing?

Actually, it doesn't really matter where it is found, it matters how deep, and if it has metastasized or not. That's what makes this kind worse.

Melanoma is the worst type of skin cancer to get. The trick is to get it removed and start treatment immediately. I believe it can be worse when close to major organs. My grandmother had one on her right calve and had to have it removed and had two treatments of very evasive chemo that went along with two surgeries. This happened 26 years ago and my grandmother will be celebrating her 89th birthday in November. Good Luck!

Melanoma kills.
It does not matter where it is found on the body.
It will spread from anywhere.

No it all depends on whether it has spread or not. If it hasn't spread they can cut it out and you're normally OK, otherwise you have problems.
