You are right to say that Eve was not created. Creation is when something comes about from NOTHING but the spoken Word of God.

Adam was FORMED of the dust of the ground. (Gen. 2:7)

Eve was a rib that God MADE a woman. It doesn't say God made a woman out of the rib. It says he made the rib a woman. (Gen. 2:22)

There has been some teaching which sounds very reasonable that the word "rib" in this passage is more like "side" - in other words, a larger portion of Adam was taken from which to make woman. Hence the phrase: my other HALF.

Sara, To answer your question. Eve was created by Adam's rib, by God. It was existing material from Adam's body. Nothing in the earth but from Adam's body, The Rib. Eve And Adam were both created not evolved.

No. If Eve had "evolved" from the rib, God would have laid the rib down on the ground and it would have transmorgified (!) into a woman. But that isn't what happened. He created Eve, using one of Adam's ribs.

The word in the Hebrew for "rib" is basically a "curve", which is why they interpret it as rib, it is a 'curved' bone in our body.

It is interesting though, that in this generation, we know now that the 'helix curve' represents DNA. In my opinion, Eve was made from God taking this genetic 'curve' from Adam and used it to create Eve from Adam.

After all, our Father IS the greatest scientist of all, he created the 'curve' to begin with. :)

God saw that Adam was alone so he offered to make him the perfect mate and help and companion, but to do so He would have to take from Adam an arm and a leg. Adam thought for a minute and asked "What can I get instead for a rib?"

Yes right - But Why is it so . When God can create Adam why not
Eve seperately - By the way Amoeba first Creation also divides into Two for Generation Amazing isnt' ? -

God is no creation, rather God created all the creations. Creation Divides into two for generation - Read it other way and actually reads like ... No Generation leads to No division and No Division to No Creation.

Creation+Division+Generation = All of us
No Creation+No Division+No Generation = God.
Therefore God said He is One - As not divided into Two therefore No Generation.

I live in the God's city of knowledge by the way --- Muhammad(SWT) is the name of the city.

Even evolutionist don't claim that anything ever evolved from a rib.

I just want to say something to J T. Adam was created out of the dirt, he didn't evolve out of the dirt. One of my sources for saying this "Your statement".

I don't think that quite fits the concept of evolution...

Given how we are the ones with the duty of bringing life into this world, it always "amazes" me the arrogance written into that story...where, naturally, the man is made higher then the woman and she comes from him instead. Disrespectful in my opinion, but those were the times it was written in...sad to think some of that attitude still exists.

According to the bible, Adam was created out of dirt. And, returned to dirt.

Which means humans evolved. No creation necessary.
