I have thin gums that are receding. From the advice of other people on Yahoo! Answers, I have started to floss regularly, and brush with a softer toothbrush as well as a toothpaste that is not abrasive. I have started to use Listerene Cool MInt Antiseptic Mouthwash. Is this bad for my gums? I am really concerned about them and I dont want to take any chances.

Everything that you are doing is correct, the Listerine will not repair your gums (only grafting will) but all those things together will help control the receding.

actually the listerine would be in question for receeding gums.

i have known many to have always brushed, flossed and used mouth rinse...other have alternated flossing/rinsing....

those that used the mouthwash most were more likely to have gum issues.

don't over do it. floss once a day and rinse every other.

good luck
