My Dear One, as long as any religion is taken as fundamentally right over it's brothers and sisters there will always be conflict, bloodshed and war. Islam is a fine Faith as is Christianity , Judaism, Buddhism, etc etc...ad infinitum. It's when Faith turns into Religion turning into Extremism is when people get hurt. anything taken to the extreme is too much. For every 1 terrorist in Islam or Judaism or Christianity (I'm leaving the Buddhists out of this one...) there's easily a 100 good people who want nothing more than to live their lives in peace. It'd do us all good if we all did the same. Blessings.

I think that any religion can and has been used to lead unlearned fanatics to do any cruel and violent things, just because it was 'sanctified' by someone. I think that a smart religious leader can pick and choose some lectures in any holy book (whatever religion) and use them to preach whatever he or she wants. The original intent of those writings can mean something completely different, though.

I haven't read the Koran, so I don't really know what it teaches. I just don't think it's a 'strap a bomb on yourself and kill some innocent people who only sin was believing in other religion as far as you know'.

I think that unfortunately, in this times hate is reaching higher levers, and breaking society apart by races, religions, nationalities. That's sad. Religion should bring people together and reach understandings.

BTW, I'm catholic. I say this not to cause controversy or anything, it's just what I believe.

Peace.

I am christian but I have many friends who have their own beliefs etc and some of those are muslim.

A friend of mine who is Muslim came over last night and I read his Tarot cards (just for fun)

he was saying b4 i started that Tarot is the Devil. But he said go on and do it anyway just to see what it says.

I dealt his spread and in the position of "self" it had the card "The devil" I told him that "see becoz you called these cards - the devil - they are now calling you the devil"

he had been preaching to me all about Islam like usual and what I don't get is why they think that anyone who doesnt have the same beliefs as them is in the wrong. We all should just accept that not everyone believes in the same thing but unfortunatly we HAVE to share this world becoz it is the only one and get on with it.

In response to your question tho - Islam was hijacked by the devil and slowely but surely he is somehow convincing many weak souls to follow

yeah! whatever happened but i still refuse to call it a religion of Hijackers or terrorists or any other fancy name people use today.
Islam is a beautiful religion and the acts of terrorism dont change that fact.

peace be up on you!!

This is just lies from an ignorant source. Christians have more of a history of murdering innocents...the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Salem Witch hunts, etc...
