How could they not be? Although they are far from the only proof, as the heavens declare God's glory. I have done some study about the bible codes and am convinced of them. The data and tests given can be checked - and no one has been able yet to refute them, though many rail against their authenticity, Christians and nonbelievers alike. But other Christians (like me), Jews and secular scholars of science and mathematics stand by the evidence.
Here is something from http://biblecodedigest.com

Explosive evidence that Bible codes point to the life of Christ!
When Ed Sherman, a mathematician with 30 years of experience, and Nathan Jacobi, an Israeli physicist, set out to debunk claims that there were mysterious codes in the Hebrew Old Testament, they could not have envisioned the startling conclusions they would reach. As Dr. Jacobi, an agnostic Jew, looked for lengthy Hebrew codes about Christ, repeatedly he discovered compelling excerpts from the life of the man from Nazareth.
Time and again Dr. Jacobi found that one- or two-word codes were actually part of much longer encoded sentences that echoed the Gospel accounts. Moreover, these encoded sentences were extensively embedded in two passages most widely regarded as prophecies of the crucifixion of Christ (Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22).
Bible Code Bombshell sets forth startling new evidence that code sequences in Scripture are irrefutable evidence of a Divine hand. In this highly readable book, Sherman offers both skeptics and believers a gold mine of information that will prompt much thinking about the origins of the Bible.
Unlike other Bible code books, this unique book features codes that are phrases and sentences, and not just one- or two-word codes.
The only code book by researchers that are internationally recognized mathematicians and statistical experts
Responds directly and accurately to Bible code critics

The Bible Codes? Are you kidding? Look at the history of the Bible Codes: the planet wasn't smashed in 2003, Los Angeles wasn't sucked down into a crater, The antichrist didn't appear in Rome in 2002....I mean I can devise a computer program that will be able to find a code to give me a predetermined result in just about any book. This has been proven time and time again. Remember how they applied the Bible Code program to Moby Dick? They found all kinds of the usual nonsense. No No No, Bible Codes is akin to Scifi, not reality. Why woould God who revealed Himself through Jesus Christ have to hide clues in the BIble? It is inconsistent with what the Bible teaches us about God!!!!

I think the bible codes are a fun theory.
The proof of God we get in this life is in his small voice speaking to our hearts, and in the beauty of this world be made us.

You say why?
Not leave the world like it is?
Let people die and people live?
Why not just keep each to his own?
You say why?
Why have such a narrow mind?
Be so obsessed with the divine?
Be so concern about our souls?
Why worry at all?
Well you might say
It’s a “new age”
But i don’t think so
Just the same old lies
The truth
Cannot be denied
Even if you try
When you say we’re all off the wall
When you say you can’t hear him call
When you say you don’t care at all
Well i don’t believe you
When you say there are many roads
When you say that anything goes
When you say there’s no way to know
Well i don’t believe you
When you say you’re fine on your own
Well i don’t believe you…why?
I say why?
Why you’re so sensitive?
When i talk about who jesus is ?
If you think the bible’s just a fable
I say why?
Why not take a longer look?
& see the beating he took just
Try and save your own self if you’re able
Ask your lucky star
You may say
Everything’s ok
My karma’s good
My fortune teller’s right
The peace you have visualized
Is passing you right by
Yes do you do you do
You need the love of jesus christ
He’s the only one who can send you
Home with a better prize
When he hung, there on the cross
A rebel with a cause
Against all the forces of evil
If only you’d believe him now
I say why?
Love came down to suffer on the mount
But all of this won’t matter
If you just don’t care…
Don’t shut the door
(well if you just don’t care)
Chorus
When you say you’re fine on your own
When you say we’ll come back around
Well i don’t believe you…why?
Why?

No proof either way. Code can be considered, but sure not proof. If we had proof, there would be no more debates. I look at it as more of a chance. What eveidence leads me to think there is more or less of a chance of God being real. I will take that chance.

I strongly believe in the Bible and the book of Romans states “[God’s] invisible attributes . . . have been visible, ever since the world began, to the eye of reason, in the things he has made.”—Rom. 1:20.
The wonderful creation of God all around us is a strong proof that HE exists, created everything and is now maintaining it.

There are lots of different codes in the Bible that proves it had to have been inspired by God..Codes that couldn't even be duplicated today by our super computers.

god is STILL not falsifiable.
PS: later, using the same algorithyms that bible code "scholars" used, a scientist showed the recurrence of the terms "bible code fraud" in the bible.
a little knowledge of statistics and probability will go a long way in helping you know that if you shake up letters in any book every written, you can find strange words or phrases.
