These pop ups are the ones giving u the various sites u have visited recently.U can select any one out of them and save typing or go head with ur typing if u r not trying any one from the list. I don't see any reason to clear them as they save ur time if u have to visit the same site again. I do not have any clue to clear them completely.

You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.
You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history. Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.
To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

when the pop ups appear, put your mouse over them so they are highlighted. Then press delete, if that doesn't work, sorry.

get a pop up blocker and get something like pest patrol, you prob have lots of spy ware

try this:
enable or download a pop up blocker. yahoo has a popup blocker it's free.

Go to top of browser then tools---> internet options---> click on content tab---->auto complete button(click it)---> click on clear foms. that should help
