it is hard to tell because the chicken comes from an egg but the egg comes from the chicken. the cristion answer would be the chicken though.

The Cicken Evolved from another bird and when it ivolvev it developed a hardened shell on its young to protect it, so in theory the ckicken came 1st then it evolved egg laying.

both of them are ther in the beginning.
when chicken saw the egg, it didint like it.
it asked god what was that .
he said it was an egg.
(actually egg also didnt like the chicken, but wat to do it cant speak.)
then chicken said god i dont want to see that creature(egg) any more and if so i wont talk to u.
god like chickens company . so he vanish the egg.
n the chicken lived happy.but god gave her a punishment n then onwards chicken used to lay eggs
