The same author who wrote the restrictive passages dealing with women at Corinth and Ephesus wrote this. When everything is taken in context, one comes to understand that the restrictions were needed at a certain place and time, but are not for all time. If they are the "rule" for all time, then this passage is meaningless. If this is the "rule" for all time, the restrictions are easily understood as not placing extra hurdles in front of newcomers to Christianity.
O.K., "women's lib" IS anti-God because it teaches that children are an unnecessary hindrance and can be killed at the mother's will.

it is not us that should repent, its you....give up your religion NOW before its too late and you hurt some innocent........if your god is so just and kind why would he inflict punishment on 3rd and 4th generation (10th generation in a different post)children of someone who chooses not to believe or even 'hate' your god, your writings are full of hatred and spite, that's not the teachings of god, its dangerous extremist talk.

Did you know there was promiscuity, homosexuality, and other such things BEFORE christianity? In both women AND men.
Not only that, although it calls for women to be submissive to their husband, and he is to be the head of the family. The husband (and the rest of the family) is to be submissive to God. The husband is also called to give himself entirely to his wife so that they may be united as one through Christ in the eyes of God. THUS the point of marriage. Thus particiapting in the life of the Holy Trinity and bringing forth life into the world (through procreation...duh).

Yeah, and we can all barely pick up the fact that you're intimidated by women and you guise it through contrived control, hate yourself, and have serious mental problems.
