The Flying Spaghetti Monster is a deity of a parody religion founded by computer scientist Bobby Henderson in 2005 as a protest to the decision by the Kansas State Board of Education to require the teaching of intelligent design creationism as an alternative to biological evolution. In an open letter on his website, Henderson professes belief in a supernatural Creator entity that resembles spaghetti and meatballs called the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and calls for Pastafarianism to be taught in science classrooms, essentially invoking a reductio ad absurdum argument against the teaching of Intelligent Design.[1][2]

This is what would happen if christians ever succeeded in getting religion into the public school system.
The government would not be able to justify teaching Christ or Creationism without teaching the FSM.

catching on now?
NOW do you understand why we have a secular government?
(PS secular =/= atheistic)

the religion of Pastafarianism began even as the prophet Henderson said a imaginative and prescient of a Flying Spaghetti Monster, after a terrible nighttime of food poisoning i'd ad. Now, the college structures were thinking preparation creationism of the christian faith as technology. yet he couldn't have that, because it changed into faux. because the FSM changed into the actual author. So the prophet Henderson wrote a letter to the board that in the adventure that they ought to prepare Christian creationism, then they ought to also prepare the creation by using the FSM.

I guess if one doesn't understand FSM, than means FSM is a gnostic, mystical religion, right?

Damn I am behind the times, I'm still chuckling over Discordianism, MOOism, The Church of the SubGenius and The Invisible Pink Unicorn.

Can I still be saved?

I just went in and read all of that, and I came out troubled... Is this how religion started? someone made up a story about an almighty being and people just blindly believed it? I know religion is all about faith, but I really do believe some people are going to buy this.... then start blindly believiing which leads to faith, and whamo we have another religion. I mean an almighty being that you cant see, but you know is all around you, who created us all, (albeit from trees and a midget), sounds remarkably familiar, dont you think..... very disturbing...

Well, I guess now we know that in addition to being closed minded to other opinions, she is also closed minded to current events.
Actually, it surprised me how many people did not know about this.
