Well, it sounds to me like this guy may have a little something for you. I mean, who goes over to someone else's house during the night to tap on their window just because they are "bored?" Not everyone.

So you want to know where you stand with him? My suggestion is to talk with him about this openly. Approach him and let him know that you have to share your feelings with him and that the decision is ultimately his to make. If you want to be with him, let him know and then let him decide. At the end of it all, you can say that you talked with him about it and then you won't wonder "what if..."

Go for it! Tell him!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you...

At 17 both you and he will have lots of confusing emotions and hormones which make it difficult for both you and he to know how you really feel and how you should act. So first thing is to take it slowly. You want to keep such a good friend if it doesn't work out.
You can explain it to him in an indirect way like this:-
Tell him about this story I read on the internet:

"There was this girl and this guy who lived next door. They were friends since kindergarten. They grew closer together as they grew older and they both wanted to stay life long friends. When the girl was about 17 she felt she really liked the guy. She wanted to suggest to the guy that they start dating each other but she wasn't sure if he felt the same way about her. She was too afraid to ask him directly because she didn't want to ruin their great friendship if he didn't think they would be more than friends."

Ask him how he thinks the story will work out.

I think when he said I'm bored he really ment I want to talk to you and I can't stop thinking about you. If you like him then hang out with him. Just because you date the guy doesn't meen you have to marry him that could be way in the future. Take a chance if your'e really in love with then have no regrets but don't do anything stupid.

let me tell ya, from some one who was in your situation....go w/ your gut! i had a friend who i'd known since elementary and he liked me...loved me actually, and as much as i cared for him, i knew it wasnt' right. then when i was 22, i met the one and only guy i've ever dated and married him 3 months later. when you know....you know. my best friend got married our senior year and is very happy now, and it's been 8 years. if you love him, stop wasting time and tell him, or you will wonder what might have been. it's better to give love a fighting chance w/ all your cards on the table than to hold out for whatever might come along that's better. good luck, just because my gut told me that my friend wasn't the guy for me doesn't matter. the point is, my gut was right. what is yours saying?

If you don't want to "get married and think of what could have been" then ask him out! That way there's no regrets. After all, you said you've liked him since 6th grade... Why wait longer? Go get 'im, girl! Best of luck!

This still has the essence of innosence. I heard someone say once, love a friend before you love a stranger. Give it a whirl what have you got to lose. Maybe he's waiting for you to make a move or say something. But if he likes you, you'll know it.

try hanging out with him more. let him know you like him by hinting it or showing it. (flirting) =p. if you he liked you, you would defintly be able to tell. so just think about it. maybe even take a risk and TELL him you want more. it sounds like right now hes starting to like you and is trying to show it (by going through your back gate and scaring you through the window) and other stuff hahah =]

Yeah, he definitely has a crash on you.
Anyway, if i'm not mistaken, he should soon do something about it, so you really needn't worry. Just in case, let him know you are there for him, be obvious ; )
Good luck girl, love is the best on Earth

SINCE YOU BEEN FRIENDS FOR SO LONG, THE NEXT' TIME
YOU GET TOGETHER TALK TO HIM AND TELL HIM THAT
YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPENT SOME TIME AND SEE HOW'
IT GOES. HE MAY FEEL THE SAME WAY BUT DONT KNOW
HOW TO APPORACH YOU ABOUT IT.

This will sound strange but I think you should talk to his mother. Ask her if she thinks he likes you. In fact, she probably already knows how you feel.
