I could care less since I am not a Christian and I don't believe in the bible. However, I know some Christians that just might like to have a private word or two with you. LOL

woman's lib was definitely a set back for mankind. (and i'm a woman saying this!) (so was the civil rights movement, by the way.) it's not that God wants women to be subservient to men. It's just that there was a specific order set up, and man was made the head. it doesn't mean that they are better or more important. it's just that someone had to lead and God chose men. It's just a role. not everyone can play the lead. but all are essential. everything needs to be in its rightful place. and everyone has a place where they are supposed to be. it's just that rebellion isn't the right way to get to get there.

No, it was and is anti-God because it seeks to deny the truth that men and women are created as different but equal entities in God's plan.

CEV (common English version)

Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, "It isn't good for the man to live alone. I need to make a suitable partner for him."

1 Peter 3:7 If you are a husband, you should be thoughtful of your wife. Treat her with honor, because she isn't as strong as you are, and she shares with you in the gift of life. Then nothing will stand in the way of your prayers.

The women's liberation movement tells women that they should be just like men, that they shouldn't rely on men, and that they don't need men to form a stable family unit. That's why it is "anti-God".

You are confusing being subservient with being in subjection. It is not about superiority or inferiority. It is about being punished for what Eve did in the Garden. We lost authority in the home and we give our submission to our husband. WE are ALL servants to each other. We are all equal in the Kingdom of God, yet we bear the punishment, just like the men who bear their punishment of having to toil and earn a living by the sweat of their brow with great resistance. Recall what the big punishment was for the sin in the garden there in Genesis 3? DEATH. Adam and Eve were not able to die before they sinned. Death is a punishment brought into the world by sin. Genesis 3:15 is the promise that woman would also be the one who brings the Saviour into the world to repair that damage done in the Garden of Eden. Recall.....Satan would bruise the heel of the Saviour (hurt him) and the Saviour would bruise the head (mortal death blow) of Satan. This occurred on the Cross.

The women's liberation or feminist movement was not intended to be anti or against God. It HAS developed into something which was not totally expected...such as extremely aggressive young women, and morally corrupt women. God created man and woman in a specific ORDER for a reason, but until sin came into the picture, no one was required to be submissive to another.

If they don't believe in God...I think no. But they don't accept a number of God's rules.Feminists want an equal position between men & women. They do as men do. They want to be the head in all situations, like president, governor, district head, household head, and the like. Many women reject domestic activities even if their salary higher than their husband. They hate cooking, washing clothes and educate their children. They prefer go out than stay at home. This is high risk. Eksploitation, violence threat them. They demand same obligation an rights with men, including inheritance. So, these aren't suitable with islamic law. Sorry, i'm moslem, so Islam is my reference.Islam doesn't eliminate man and woman. They hav same position in God's eyes. God only give them different function. Men are leaders and women do as mothers en family-manager. Fathers work for their family en mothers do household activities. But, it doesn't mean that Islam forbid women for work and learn all things. Islam gives honor for women. This doesn't mean that women are subservient to men.If we obey Islamic rules...we'll be happy forever.

Men are to love their wives more than their own bodies. I do not think this is a position of raw dominance. To martyr your life for a woman.

Just as Jesus sacrificed His Body in death for our sins, so men are to do this for women.

In these directives God wants "self-sacrifice" from both. In True Love this is exactly what occurs.

The American women's movement is anti-Christian, but not for these reasons, but because it is a atheistic organization by its professed tenets dogmas and doctrines.

Excuse you, but "God wants women to be subservient" is NOT, and I repeat, NOT, what God wants. At all. You obviously need to find a good Bible study group.

Jesus emulated what God wants us to do. What did Jesus do? He appeared to WOMEN when He arose from the dead. He was anointed by a WOMAN. Who where not only His lead followers, teachers/preachers but also financial supporters....WOMEN.

Jesus spoke to women in public that were strangers, historically, that was unheard of in that day and age.

Women's Lib. was PRO-GOD because He is against oppression and women are the most oppressed people in the world.

I suggest you read the book by Loren Cunningham, "Why Not Women" to see that ITS ALL IN THERE...detailed explanations of the verses in the Bible that are used, wrongly, to put women down. WWJD, He'd tell you what the Bible says; men and women are EQUAL in God's eyes.

Would a loving god want any of his people to be subservient to anyone. Man, woman, or child?

You read Genesis....I'd rather live in a world where we are all equals.

not subservient, just obediant. there is a difference. the bible tells the man to treat to woman with respect and as a confidant. if men would not FORGET the second part, they would not treat women like servants.

No because if you read farther you will find that although it says for wives to serve your husbands, it also says for husbands to serve their wives, that is just another way people twist the bible into something negative. Although the bible is open for interpretation, you must have a positive, open and humble heart when using it to gain knowledge about life and the events that take place in it!!!!! Nice try though !!)
