She is an adult at 18 unless she is legally emancipated. If I were you, I would keep paying and kick in a little extra for some condoms.

Check this website out but bottom line is until the child reaches 18 you are still responsible. Unless income or the needs of the child has changed - is the only way child support can be modified. Then you have to go to court to resolve any changes brought up for requesting the change in child support.

Can your daughter walk into a store and buy a pack of ciggarettes? Just because she is 16 and has a baby? NO! So just because she is a mother doesn't dissmiss your dutes to her! Why could you just stop paying?I am not trying to be rude.

Depends on the state, where I'm from she's legally an adult since she had a baby. You might not have to, ask a lawyer.

man you are reaching for straws aren't you. Yes you pay what you owe just as the court ordered. What stops it is her marriage, her coming of age (18) or her death. If you owe arrears, you'll be paying that off no matter what.

Being a mother does'nt make one an "adult". Kids can have kids. And in most states you're not an adult until you're 18. So you have two more years, pal...

I would say if she's old enough to decide to take care of a child, she's old enough to take care of herself, but that's just my opinion, the legal answer probably won't have much to do with common sense.

I suggest you check with your lawyer. It may depend on the laws in the state you live in.
