Why is it not "working" for you? Do you not want to fully surrender and lean on Christ? We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Do unto others as you have them do unto you. Hey if you do revenge guess what you're going to receive back? Pour out your heart to God. Give him all your stuff - both good and evil. Let Him know how you're feeling and what you're going through. He cares - all the other religions serve a god or gods who are lifeless.

Islam, the way I understand it, accepts that taking revenge is your right, but that forgiveness is more sublime, more desirable.

The first part of that is why you hear about the "Islamic" punishments of cutting off hands and capital punishment and so on In fact, Islam gives the final decision on the fate of a murderer to the heirs of the person murdered. [After a fair trial.] So they get to either feel like they were avenged, or they got a say in the fate of the murdrerer.

I don't know what your issue for which you might be asking about, but imagine that exact situation. Where someone has murdered your loved one. Once the law--or other process you trust--has established the guilt of the murderer, you are then told "Okay, society is done with this person. And his--or her--logical punishment is .to be put to death. However, we are going to now give it over to you. You decide whether this person is killed." You then stand there and look at the person. What would you be thinking? Think about it. You stand there and have had your position and your grievance validated. Is there a need to then end that person's life? Wouldn't it be spiritually an even higher and more empowering thing for you to pick up that decision and then, slowly, deliberately let go?

That's what Islam, as I was brought up in it, says: that yes, you have a moral right to revenge. And no one should hold you as being flawed if you do exact it. But if you let go of that revenge, it is even better. "Ahsan", we say in Muslim literature; purer and better.

Each time you're faced with the decision of revenge versus forgiving a slight, imagine yourself in that situation I described above and think about it. The issue might not be as grave as the one I raised above; but imagine that the stakes for your own soul are the same. And then ask yourself, which do you want to choose?

Yes, as well as Christianity and the Jewish faith will all do the same. The real issue is why rational people would want to be a part of something like that. You don't need God for revenge, you need God to ease your conscience for exacting revenge. Try reading some Philosophy from before the age of Monotheism, and then reading some from the times after, that is what helped my find my spiritual path. Maybe it can help you as well. I would be happy to recommend some.

There you go, I can't think of a better reason to believe in something, than to get revenge. I'm sure revenge will set your soul free. Go get them. (for the Answers readers, this is called sarcasm)

I really do have to ask you, doesn't the religion of Islam believe in murder and suicide as doing the will of god? If you were really looking for a way to be free, wouldn't you want to be free of sin instead of causing death. The bible says that vengeance is God's and not ours. (Deuteronomy 32:35-36)

I really love this scripture if you would please read it with me. "But he who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and who persists in it, this man (or woman), because he has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, will be happy in his doing it." (James 1:25)

What really is the will of God? And do you really think that it is being accomplished today? If you like to read more about this matter or others please feel free to e-mail me at bird07091981@yahoo.com or visit www.watchtower.org to learn more than I could ever tell you about God's will.

To the best of my knowledge no religion teaches to revenge on people. Wrongful idea about Islam makes people to think like this. Every religion teaches to keep our neighbours with brotherly relations. Do not pose such negative approach which will curse your spiritual soul . please keep positive about our invaluable human life.

The physique and strategies are suited to the exterior international around us and that they react to this international and look subsequently of this international. as a consequence we are controlled by thoughts, needs, negativity, and sensations. We form an ego and develop into responsive to ourselves as being even even with the reality that we are reacting to the international. To be loose from this starts off with being waiting to split and step decrease decrease back and start to artwork out our manifestations of strategies and physique as being ingredient of the exterior international. it relatively is strategies that could try this. that's how the soul will develop into loose and as a replace of being ruled by the physique and the strategies, will develop into the energetic rigidity. it relatively is an prolonged technique and in Christian ideals is synonymous with purging, severing the ties that bind the soul with the physique and strategies. in fact after that, is illumination available.
