No JW bashing here, my only intend is to get a straight answer from a JW member. I saw another user post a question regarding Jehovah's Witnesses and about forty people answered, clearly one can see which of the answers come from Jehovah's Witnesses.
Jehovah's Witnesses seem to always have a scripted answer from a watch tower website or they quote verses from their bible.
Again no Jehovah's Witnesses bashing just give me a straight answer to my question.
NO watch tower LINKS or your bible QUOTES.
Answer in your own words.

O.K. lets make this clear, no Jehovah's Witnesses has approached me in the streets or came knocking at the door. I ask the question based on what I read on Yahoo answers that were asked by other users.

Speaking only for myself, when I refer back to http://www.watchtower.org/ it is because I don't want to take up the whole page explaining what it is we believe, especially, when half the time I don't know if people sincerely want to know. This way, if a person is truly interested, they can look up the information for themselves. There are also many articles, on a variety of subjects, at the website. These articles often answer the question a person has asked from the Bible. I also use this link to contradict the misinformation that is often spread by JW haters as well.

As far as using Bible quotes, I personally believe that the Bible should be used to answer questions in the Religion & Spriituality section. I choose to use the Bible as my authority.

I hope you consider this a straight answer to your question.

Thats an interesting question. But one think Im currios why u interesting about Jehovah's witnessess giving answer? ....

In the way all of people around the world in giving an answer for a question basicly based on their own knowledge from which have learned and absorb information from school, society, books, parents, phylosophy, experiences, life, friends, and lots more.
And I believe u do also have an answer for a question based on what have u know so far.
So in this case for Jehovah's Witnesses, in the way they are giving an answer is according to what have they learned in the bible, coz Bible contains of God's Word for the best result of our questions. Can human thoughts be compare with GOD's thoughts? ..... the answer it cant be compare because GOD who is created us and GOD's knowledge is so many and beyond our words.
please observe and check it by urself what is Jehovah Witnessess before ur give an opinion.

Training. That is how they have been trained. From their point of view they have the correct answer and they train their people to provide that. Often the people you will encounter are new at this and they only know the 'script". I am not a JW but you have to admire the number of people that they get involved. Same with the Mormons. And given that number a little 'scripting" is necessary.

I think you said it best but no enough. They are scripted. They're whole existence is scripted. They cannot answer a question cuz there is no one there to answer it. Everything is viewed through JW lenses. This is my opinion. I think it is great that a group exists for people who would rather not be and let others be for them. There God loves them. My only beef would be all door knocking. I think they should knock on each others door and leave others alone.

Take this for what it is worth, as I heard this from someone who "knows" about it - former JW. Could be true, could be anti-JW rhetoric, you decide.

As it was explained to me, it is indeed scripted. They are given questions that would "pop up" during their visits, and the answer they should give, then they study it, memorize it, and learn to give that answer - without hesitation - just as it was given to them, with perhaps some personal twists, but still the same answer.

Again, this is what I was told by someone in the know - I leave it up to you to decide if it is true or not.

I wish you peace.

Scripted is right! But if you ever want them to evacuate your property just ask (of course in a very nice and normal way) like bending down and speaking to the child that is with them and ask this child some very basic truths about the bible (speaking directly to the little one only) and try to get a conversation going with him and they will go packing before you contaminate the kid.

If you don't want a Bible quote then YOU don't WANT a straight answer...

Therefore I suggest you become a Jehovah Witness. They need people like you.

they don't answer for the same reason we never get a straight all encompassing answer from science . . . both have to be in a carefully controlled environment to get any sort of partial answer that is scripted. i reckon they are genuinely nice folks who want to help . . . but are trying to fill in the gaps of partial information just like the science minded folk do

Perhaps you were asking a Jehovah' Witless. Very similar so as to be almost the same.

Maybe your question is crooked to begin with? I've seen a lot of lousy questions here.
