Virus and spyware scan.....

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ - Free Anti Spyware

http://avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html - Free Anti Virus

Make sure that if you have other anti spyware or antivirus applications installed on your computer that you remove them before installing Avast and/or Spybot. Also, make sure to update the definitions for both before running a full scan of your system.

Sounds like you got a buttload of spyware. an EXCELLENT spyware removal program is called SPYSWEEPER. It retails about 30 dollars, good for 1 year. But it is worth it.

I saw your other question about where to download music-limewire, kazaa, etc...those are full of spyware. go to bittorrent.com and download that. Very small program, no packaged spyware. It will search torrents for you-a torrent is a type of file, sand you need bittorrent or azereus to open them-when you click on a torrent (before you download) you can see what others have writtenm about the file (if it is valid or if it is a virus or something altogether different.) I have never gotten a virus using the program.

In the meantime, I have a program called System Mechanic Pro 6.0 that is good for cleaning up comps. JUST DONT USE THE HARD DRIVE SCRUBBER. But you can download it for free (as a trial) and if you message me I'll give you an activation code to use thats good for a year. Awesome antivirus too.

Clean up your cookies, temp. files and history, all under "Tools, Internet Options" Then run 'Disk Cleanup' and 'Disk Defragmenter' both under 'start, programs, accessories, system tools'

Defrag will take along time, hours depending on how big your hard drive is, and you need to deactivate your screensaver.

After that, download a virus and spyware scanner. AVG is a good one, but there are others. And use it often.

Also, Mozilla FireFox is a good idea. It is a web browser that will replace IE and has a lot of good features like a popup blocker and other things.

Go to system tools and defragmentize the computer. Then go again and do disk cleanup. It takes a while for each to finish so do it when you aren't on. The disk cleanup you have to wait until this other page pops up then just click ok/accept/ehatever it is, don't click anything else. If it doesn't help, then just wait a bit. It'll start working properly after a while.

On your Internet explorer---Tools---Internet Options---clear Cookies---Delete temporary files----delete files press apply and Ok. You might also want to defragment your files. You should also download an antivirus. Also Adaware and Spybot could help you with speeding up your computer.
