Okay! I goofed and closed the question too early. Please forgive and keep the entries going here. We have had some great movies proposed as the "ultimate" and I would love to see more. I will reward the "best question" to the one who supports their entry with the greatest reasoning.
I would tell you my "pick" for greatest movie, but I don't want to prejudice the discussion. So far, I agree with all of you (well, maybe not Beverly Hills Ninja, though I would agree that it was hilarious). :-)

Originally I said Karate Kid since it is about a nobody that studies an Okinawan style and topples a McDojo of rich snots with it.
I really like Mr. Miyagi because his one liners are just outstanding.
It is also implied that the style is Goju Ryu, as the founder is named Miyagi. Also, the cheesy soundtrack is 80's-tastic.
I have to say I have another favorite, The Last Dragon with Taimak as Bruce LeRoy and Julius Carry as Sho'nuff The Shogun of Harlem. This flick is so cheesy that I had to put it on crackers. I like the scenes, the dialog, the music, the Chinese style vs. Japanese style, the cheesy "glow" at the end. It is just a fun movie that feels like a comic book.

Enter the Dragon is always a solid choice. As far as Jet Li, he sucks, get off his jock. The greatest martial arts movie in my humble opinion is Masked Avengers starring the Venom mob. I was always a huge fan of the Shaw Brothers movies. This is the best, most action packed and it had a good deal of mystery. The last 45 minute fight scene at the end was worth the price of admission. I love 5 Deadly Venoms, but this movie was a little better in every aspect.

I think you all are overlooking the genious of the late great Jean Claude Van Damme (he's dead right). Who could pass over classics like the Quest, Hard Target and Cyborg? Or the immortal performance he gave in Double Impact, where he kicks twice the butt as twin brothers out to avenge the murder of their parents! Okay, if you haven't picked up the sarcasm yet, or have agreed with me on any level, rent these movies immediately:

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Hero
The Matrix
Kill Bill 1 & 2
Street Fighter (Sonny Chiba version, not the Van Damme one)
Enter the Dragon
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Sidekicks with Chuck Norris! : )

Shaolin: Wooden Men: Young Tiger's Revenge
It's an early Jackie Chan movie (early as in still in Chinese with English spoken over the Chinese). I'm pretty sure that's the title of it. Why?
It's just great. Jackie Chan before he was mainstream. It is more serious than any movie I've ever seen him in. That room with the punching wooden men? Brutal, but awesome. This movie is worth watching for the movements.
