it is simple Biology! plants store energ thru the sun's process of photosynthesis. the animals store energy like a normal person would-w/o light involved.

By energy, we assume you mean sugar which is the basic energy unit that cells burn to create chemical energy.

Animals store excess sugar by converting it first into glycogen which then gets converted into fat.

Plants store excess sugar by converting it into starch.
