an aura is defined as:
1. An invisible breath, emanation, or radiation.
2. A distinctive but intangible quality that seems to surround a person or thing; atmosphere: An aura of defeat pervaded the candidate's headquarters.
3. Pathology. A sensation, as of a cold breeze or a bright light, that precedes the onset of certain disorders, such as an epileptic seizure or an attack of migraine.
So if you mean an aura that precedes a seizure or migraine, then yes, there's a chance you could see it (like flashing lights).

I have "visual auras", which are precursors to migraines...and yes, I can see them, they take up my whole line of vision! They aren't any fun...but I am guessing you are referring to aura's in the mystical sense, no? If so, many people claim to see people's aura's, however, if they do or not, I don't know. I would venture to guess that perhaps one can "see" someone's aura subconsciously. For example, say someone just rubs you the wrong way, for whatever reason, and you have just met them.....and it turns out you were justified in your feelings towards the person, this is what I would say is your subconscious "seeing" someone's aura.

It's the energy that surrounds a person. Some people with Synesthesia have been said to be able to see it though most people cannot see it.

It is the energy field that surrounds the body. It is called Qi by eastern cultures, the soul by Western.
Some people can see it. I can't. You can get a kirilian photo of it.
