WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIm???
i'm 15 and so is he. so whenever we were in history class last year, he kepton asking me how the tests went for me.. but then when we get them back he braged that he got A's. And then on the street, he randomly called out my name, when I never gave it to him and his friends don't know me. he was in the history class after mine.. so he couldn't have known my name from class.
my friend says he's not shy at all.. so if he liked me.. wouldn't he have already asked me out? what does he want.. if he's so un-shy, then why didn't he talk to me yet?? and now i can't stop thinking about him... oh, and last thing!! he's really popular.. and i'm kinda not. so why would he like me? isn't it against his stupid popularity rules to date a girl lower in the social chain? wouldn't his friends laugh at him? the worst part is that we have another class together this year. and i tried saying hi to him.. but he completely ignored me. so what does he want from me?? jeez i'm really confused... what to do?

whoa I just got this deja-vu. Did you ever post this question before cause I'm almost sure I saw this exact same question almost word for word not too long ago. Ohh about the question, I don't think the history class means anything; you'd be surprised how many people know you whom you don't know yourself. It happens to everyone, it doesn't mean you're super-popular or he's a stalker. Maybe he heard someone talking to you, maybe you two have a mutual friend that you're just not aware of. I dunno, but does it really matter? The whole social chain thing is crap though, and most good guys don't seem to care whether or not the girl they like is popular. That's not really a deciding factor. I don't think he likes you as any more than a friend though or he probably would have made it more obvious, and none of the signs you gave make that obvious at all. Maybe he just wants to be friends?

well maybe he likes u but he dont know he is confuse maybe he told his friends about u and u know how friends r u tell them i like somebody and they r like why he/she is ugly u could do better and all that stuff and maybe he actually believe them. and someguys r the wanna get hard guys thats some kind of there rule they have to ignore u so u could be more and more interested in them then they got u in there hands

Could be he has a big joke in his head and he knows he's getitng to you, and he finds it funny. Some guys are like that.
Another possibility is that while he's not shy in general, he is shy around girls, especially those he likes. I'm kinda like that.
Then again, I figure the first is more likely. It's unfortunate, but a lot of guys are jerks. My suggestion is not to waste any time on him.

Oh my goodness....first off you are beautiful, smart and funny! You don't need his approval for anything. You should be proud of youself ...you don't need him to help you do that. I dunno if he likes you or not but what makes him so great? Is he sweet? Is he nice? Do you even like him for him or because he is popular. Figure those out first THEN decide what you want to do. Are any of your friends close to him? Good luck and keep your head up high. Don't worry about "social classes" in freaking high school.

I think you little to young worry about a boy who is teasing and playing game with you.
I would concentrate on getting your own A's in history so you could brag back at him.
I think you should forget about him and find someone when your ready that is more considerate and don't think about themselves.

sometimes popularity doenst way in if you think he likes you just try asking him(maybe it could be his *rep* that he doesnt want his freinds to see him with you yet and what not always some stupid reason but trust me it will work out one way or another

omg... what a cliche... "social chains" wtf is that... it doesnt matter if you are "lower"... if he likes you then he likes you... there is no penalty for that.
One more thing:
Maybe he isnt shy, i know im not shy, but when it comes to taking that big leap of faith and asking a girl out to a movie sometimes its tough (something that used to terrify me). u should make that jump.. and if he says no then so what... you didn't loose anything so its no biggie., just move on.

maria i think he does like you and maybe he just wants you to talk to him once, if i was in your place i would ask him why is he doing this and if u can;t tell him write it down or tell your friends to tell him how u feel
