Given the original question, and acknowledging that an atheist is one who denies the existance of a supreme being (and sorry folk - I'm only agnostic), I find it unsettling to discover that only a handful of you took the effort to think for yourselves. That's even more unsettling when we consider that there's no right or wrong answer: only opinion. But for those who tried: kudos.

IF there is a god and IF the bible is correct, then no, god is not an atheist. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." So, god does believe in god/s, IF there is a god and IF the bible is correct.

Dear Simon D,
I have been told that the term 'atheist' originally simply meant a person who engaged in a religious practise that was not of the official state religion.
If you break the word atheist down to it's original meaning you get:

'A' (against) & 'theist' (the state sanctioned God)

So - Is God an Atheist ?
Well - let's see - I guess it depends on which particular God's side you are on.

Oh - Here's a bit of a joke for you:

What happens to a dyslexic agnostic with insomnia ?

They lie in bed wide awake all night
wondering about the validity of dog.

Sincerely,
Karma doll

God the Father believes and knows that God the Son and God the Holy Spirit exist so God cannot be an atheist.

I don't know - why don't you ask him - and why you're about it why don't you actually go out and get a life as well - you know find a nice lady - have a good session in a hotel room - go an get drunk - have a game of chess with an old man in park - do anything except damn fool questions that no one - least of all god - is going to answer !

I think is a brilliant question to ask.

I think it could of been agnostic instead of aethist though to find

If there was a god, which religeon would be his number one choice? I personally don't believe in god so that is for the various religeous people out there.

Since the definition of atheist is not believing in God, and since a god would have to be aware of itself in order to be any kind of Higher Being, I would conclude that no, God is not an atheist. He believes in God since He believes in Himself.

Well, no. "Atheist" means "no God" or "without God."

While God has no God, he knows that there IS a God, its being him.

He has no spiritual practice, if that's what you're asking. But he does believe that he himself is God.

He must be.
If there is only one true God & he is the one then he has nothing & no-one to believe in. Therefore, he is an athiest.
