Don't be silly, you KNOW that's a sin. Doctors are just another form of witchcraft, much like science...

All true, no matter how we arrive at it, ultimately comes from God. Science is just one of the methods by which we arrive at truth.

A sin? So is going to the doctor to seek antibiotics for an infection a sin? Catching the bus to go to school/work/the shops a sin? Using a pen to write a sin? Using the computer a sin?
Get a grip, science has been around for a few thousand years, so if you drop biology, then you can kiss goodbye to any for of education and life on this planet as its pretty much ruled by modern science if you look closely enough!

NO! science is NOT a sin! God encourages us to gain knowledge and wonder about His signs and creations.
its true that science and (most) religion conflicts at some point, such as Christianity. but so science has not contradicted Islam's beliefs/teachings yet... in fact, science actually confirmed what the Quran (Islam's holy book) mentioned over 1400 years ago.
in the west, many think its either science or religion... but thats not true with Islam, its more like science AND religion.
like Albert Einsteign said... "science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind"

I am religious, but even I won't say that science is a sin.
Science is a product of the human mind, it represents our creativity and our efforts to understand the world around us. That is not a sin, and on the contrary, religion encourages people to understand the world in general. Science is just one way of doing so.
The only parts of Science that may be considered sinful are those that directly contradict religion, i.e. Evolution, and to an extent, things like Stem Cell Research and alternate means of conceiving.

No that's silly. Science is just another way of seatching for the truth in nature. It is never something that God would hate or condemn. Only if people think that they are better than God is it bad.

Science is not, in and of itself, a sin. Sin, by definition, has to be committed by somone, and you can't commit science. Now, reading about science may be a sin.

I doubt it, since so many brilliant scientists, such as Isaac Newton and Blaise Pascal, have been deeply spiritual Christians.

No, it's a gift...but whenever it crosses over and goes against the things that God has stated in His word..then that's where it becomes a sin.
