1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup butter

DIRECTIONS:
Mix sugar and flour. Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, vanilla. Melt the butter over low heat. Add to buttermilk mixture and mix well.
Pour into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 - 40 minutes.

I like buttermilk and corn bread in a tall glass eating it with an ice tea spoon. I have never heard of a buttermilk pie. Care to pass on the recipe....

I've never had it, but when the radio show "First Light" had a pie recipe contest last holiday season, it was buttermilk pie that won.

My grandma used to make this pie for us all the time and it is to die for. I want to thank you for the memory. Yes I do like buttermilk pie.
