Mother Teresa - who went against the grain of rules set out for nuns, started with a few rupees, had the whole vatican against her for not being blindly obedient, the local hindus were also against her for fear of conversion, the local muslims wanted to kill her and yet despite all that .... she has created a Global establishment that brings so much comfort to the suffering, dignity to the dying and destitude and Love for those unloved.
A most amazing thing she did apart from her usual clothing the naked and caring for the sick, was in the 80s I read, she actually wrote a personal letter to Saddam Hussein and George Bush Snr. to stop the Dessert Storm war for the sake of the people that were made homeless, riddled with injury and diseases.
What a courageous woman!! Truly a reflection of God's Love... and thru all this, she had no need to convert anyone... in her own words when asked during a interview. " Of course I convert people. I do it everyday! I convert a Hindu to be a better Hindu, a Christian to be a better Christian, a Buddhist to be a better Buddhist and an Atheist to be a better person. God's love has no labels"
Truly the most amazing person to ever walk this earth, her passing was a great loss to humanity, especially the Unloved, Uncared and Helpless.

That's a tough question! There are a lot of people I've admired, some admired by many others, some not. Also the answer to this question may differ based on individual cultural, religious, and personal variables. Personally,I can't say any ONE person to me IS/WAS the "greatest" because, even though we don't all have the same influence ,and therefore are not famous,or legendary,or whatever,we ALL are unique individuals, with a unique personality, with our own views ,ideas "gifts" ,abilities, interests, etc.,therefore we are ALL EQUALY important in the scheme of life and ALL are deserving of respect and honor for the person(s) we are!

first Jesus, then my grand father who passed away and now one i have never met, but James earl Jones for his many great teachings in history and i have a new testament audio bible were he speaks as the audio reader. his voice is one that catches the attention where i usually would ignore the history lesson in school. unless the video voice was his. (the videos were on the wonderful works of the right for intergration.) if you think back can you remember his voice on them yourself.

My parents -- and unfortunately, my siblings and I had to bury them as very young adults. We miss them tremendously -- it is through them we learned the meaning of family, cherishing the time available, and the pride of Service to Country -- and have had long Military Careers.
