Post pardum can last up to a year, sometimes more. YOu need to talke to a caring professional AND get your husband involved. (Hopefully you are not married to another Tom Cruise Clone....)

Well post partum can last for awhile. My daughter is now 4 but I think that I am getting over it. It is difficult raising a child in this world so when I hear bad or threatening news I get nervous. When my child was first born, I did not like to go many places. As she got older, I sort of opened up a little and start to let go. I am still afraid but I know that I am getting over having post partum depression. I thank God that I am not psychotic or try to hurt my child so I know that I am not crazy or need medical assistance. Do not worry because one day you will get over it.

post partum can last a year or more. sometimes it takes a shock from another sorce other than yourself. seek professional help. Tom Cruise did nothing for women by acting like some kind of self-proclaimed know-it-all. He looked like some a--h---son- of -a b----. What a control freak. you need to talk to somone who can provide you a sympathetic ear.

There's baby blues, then there's postpartum depression, then there's postpartum psychosis. Baby blues lasts up to ten days, postpartum depression can last up to a year or two or even longer, and can begin at any time after you've given birth. Not necessarily right after you've given birth. Postpartum psychosis is a serious mental illness that should be treated by a doctor and with medication.

Pls. Don't jump to the conclusion that you have the psychosis one. That one has serious, life-threatening symptoms comparable to that of a lunatic.

Postpartum can last a few years. My daughter is 3 and a half and I'm not sure if I'm over mine yet. Some days I think its just regular run-of-the-mill depression, and other days I feel like its "baby blues" Either way, ask your doctor if you should take any meds, St.John's Wort, or even have some counseling about it. It may sound silly, but depression of any sort can seriously impair your life ! Get it resolved as soon as you can and enjoy your precious babies !!
