Depending on what your court case was, assuming that the marriage to the U.S. citizen is legit, you can apply for a work permit and work as a firefighter. Just curious, how do you go from a H4 (which means that you were married to or a dependent of a Temporary Guest Worker holding an H1 or an H2) and then get married to a U.S. citizen?
By the way, I am NOT a lawyer.

First, you shouldn't even BE here... people like YOU are the reason for many of our economy's problems.
On your third point, (pending a court case), YOU shouldn't even be entitled to our judicial system! You aren't a citizen of this country! Why should we give you a trial at the expense of OUR tax dollars?
And then you have the nerve to ask...
I'm no racist... I would have NO problem with you at all if you had immigrated legally into our country. But I DO have a problem with you doing it illegally. It isn't fair to anyone...

Since you are not a legal resident or have a green card, no. You have to be here legally to hold a job.

Yes, if the status is legal and the visa allows the person to work in US. However, numerous visas have restrictions.

You have to have at least conditional residency. My wife went to the fire academy while waiting for conditional residency but couldn't get a job until she actually got it.

If they are legal, and they can pass the tests required to do so, I don't see why not. But you may have to wait until you are legal to work here.
I would call the fire dept and speak to the chief. They should be able to assist you with your questions.

First of all...I feel so sorry for y'all that cannot read. I said "legal," not "illegal." Secondly, the person I am referring to is my husband, and he is here because his father is a wonderful contribution to our society--he is a teacher. Again, I feel so sorry for those of you who choose to be so ignorant as to jump as soon as you hear the word "immigrant." P.S. would YOU like to take the jobs the illegal ones do for us? Of course not! You are too "good" to mow lawns and such. Shut your mouth before someone smacks you because of your lack of knowledge and blind ignorance.
