2 questions.. Why do Mexican's hate Puerto Rican's?

and why are Puerto Rican's called Pork Chops?

I wasn't aware that Mexicans hated Puerto Ricans. All of my Mexican friends love Reggaeton, which is made primarily by Puerto Rican artists, so that wouldn't make much sense then, would it?

Maybe some are just jealous because Puerto Ricans are already considered U.S. citizens and can move into the U.S. without a problem, while it's very difficult for Mexicans to do.

My reason is because most Puerto Ricans believe they are more superior to all Hispanics(including Mexico).Yet most Puerto Ricand don't understand that much Spanish, a language that's talked throughout all Hispanic countries

I didn't know that Mexicans did not like Puerto Ricans.

They call them "Pork Chops" because they eat a lot of pork. Pretty dumb slur, isn't it? I had to ask some Puerto Rican friends what it meant.

I guess I learn something new everyday. I also heard that puerto ricans hate dominicans and all that. I'm dominican, my best friend is puerto rican and my other best friend is mexican and 3 of us are all best friends and we get along just fine. We're kind of like the 3 amigos! We don't have a problem with our background and never put eachother down for it. As for the whole "Pork Chop" thing, never heard of it.

I know many Mexicans and I'm myself Mexican and I can tell you one thing MOST Mexicans do not hate Puerto Ricans, just like MOST Puerto Ricans do not hate Mexicans.

I am of Mexican decent and I DON'T hate Puerto Ricans.....Don't make assumptions....I don't know why PR are called Pork Chops, it sounds like something a bigot would say, like they call us beaners....

Well I'm Puertorican and don't hate Mexicans. Maybe it's because ignorants confuse different Hispanics because "you look the same".
I'm very proud of being who I am, but I'm not better nor worse than any other race.
I do want to say to other foreigners that we may have U.S. citizenship but we are still a territory, so we aren't favorites, just the effect of the causes.

Wow! I didn't know that Puerto Rican's were called Pork Chops and I didn't know that Mexicans hated Puerto Ricans!!! I don't know why...maybe Mexicans don't like Puerto Ricans because of their bloodline, maybe they feel that Puerto Ricans shouldn't be considered hispanic because of their African bloodline...I don't know and can't really answer this question for you...but I'm going to say this, Puerto Ricans are very beautiful people with very beautiful characters...there have never...NEVER...been a time where a Puerto Rican has treated me bad or disrespected me and that's from the men and the females... I've had too many bad occurences with Mexicans and some good occurences as well, but the bad outweighs the good...let me get back on topic now...

I honestly can't say why Mexicans dislike Puerto Ricans as I'm not Mexican or Puerto Rican, but I just thought that it would be the other way around, the Puerto Ricans disliking the Mexicans!

I just learned something new...thanks for sharing!


Oh...and for Fiasco, the reason why not many "black" people are offended by Puerto Ricans calling us "black people" n***er is because they call themselves n***er! And also, because they have African blood running through their veins just like we do, the only difference between them and us, is there Latin blood intermingled with their African blood...that's why it's ok for Fat Joe to say the N word...

Note: This is not acceptable to all "blacks", not all "blacks" like to be called a n***er by anyone nor do some like to use the word.
