most states have same rules for cycling solid or flashing "white" light in front and steady or flashing light in the rear. Some road cyclists like me use two handlebar lights showing that I'm a road cyclist (In Ohio it's state law now). They have proven that reflectors are useless at night without lights beam at them. So buy them besides when I ride my blinkie is always on even in daylight for safety. So ride safe not sorry because you don't want end up a hood ornament.

almost certianly. there are more laws in Iowa, than any other state. You can't even use a military ID card as ID to cash a check in Iowa, must be a State of Iowa Drivers Lisence or ID only. If you are in IA on vacation, you'r better remember your ATM/Credit Cards, because you ain't going to be cashing any checks.

I dont knwo about it being a law. But i think it would be a good i think here in missouri it is a law, for one if your riding your bike at night drivers should be aware of your presence, if you have nothing on your bike to let them know they are going to hit you

So you don't become road kill. In California you need to have not only a head light, but also a tail light. Common sense.

I don't know your state, but mine it is. Cyclists have to follow the same rules as cars...lights at night (tail light and head light).

Fewer cyclists get ticketed than perhaps there should be.
