I am not the appropriate person to judge others, but I really don't like the tactic that some Christians are using with others to talk about God, saying that they are going straight to Hell.

I am a Christian, but if I weren't a believer I would feel a little angry if someone out of no where yells at me "You are going to Hell".

I really don't like to use that phrase with people, and believe me I have talked about everything here without holding myself back. I am not the best at talking about this things and trying to make people believe in God. I just give my opinions and clarify certain ideas that are wrong about Christians here.

Why can't Christians be a little more careful when approaching other people and talk about their believes?

There is a way, and words which CAN be used, which will cause a person to ask the right questions or to want to learn more about God and His Son. Some CAN, and do, say the wrong things, but it is a perspective from an extreme. Do not forget, these people see sinners as being in a burning house and not knowing there is fire in there. They are desperately seeking to aid someone to get out of that house. That is one perspective of many. Best advice? If someone calls you a sinner, better ask them WHY and then check it out. We just might have a sin problem in this world...ya think?

You know what? Jesus Christ Himself, preached hell more than any person in the entire Bible, for a reason. Some people will tell you that John 3:16 is the Gospel. No it is not. Matt 11:5 is the Gospel of Christ. read it. What does it tell you?
preach the Gospel. That is Hell fire itself, included in Truth. If you leave hell out, You just told 1/2 Truth. Did Jesus say: Go forth and preach 1/2 Truth?

Bottom line is this. Hell is a reality. Would you like to know where your going? You may not. God, didn't give you a option on what you hear. He told Christians to preach TRUTH.

Good Question.

Hmmm .. a fair question, I think.

Well, first of all ... ANYONE who is passionate about what they are into tend to get out of hand. Just express a tiny bit of interest in Fantasy Football ... and your buddy will never let up, showing you stat sheets and articles trying to get you interested too.

Those who shout "you are going to Hell" are just immature people, it is the same personality type who go into a bar and announce they want a BJ (a popular drink and a double meaning). Or the kid who yells at his mom, "you don't love me".

Having a care at how christians are when approaching others about their faith is the real part of your question. There is a sort of mis-guided sense in modern christianity that makes people feel the need to evangelize.
AND, I'll respond by saying that if Christianity is as great as we make it out to be ... people should be coming up to us and asking "what is your secret?".

Peace.

eeek, do I see a spam/chain letter posted? good people, be very careful with people ask for money from us .

.First of all those who get a little out of hand are probably not saved Jesus delivered his messages to those who wanted to hear it . The word of god is not for a person who does not want to hear it. The bible even tells you that if you are not accepted than shake the dust from your feet as you leave their land. A person must first be inclined by the Holy Spirit before you can even attempt to lead a person to Christ.those who are loud and vocal towards all are pro ably be guided by the spirit of Satan they want to look the part, be seen, every body know. Jesus was a humble Man. Not a TV Evangelist. collecting money. A true believer let's his actions , his walk, his Style, speak first and for him. When a person wants to be like or know how they can be like you . Than you tell them about your Lord an Savior. Amen

I am not a Christian and I agree with you. Some can be a little abrassive at times. However, I don't get angry when they say I am going to Hell because I don't believe in Hell, except the town in Michigan named Hell. I think there is a right way to bring people closer to God and a wrong way. Being abrasive to people is one of those ways to turn people away from God, not get them closer.

Hey, the truth hurts. It would be wrong of us if we told them that they could believe whatever they want and everything would fine?? We're not doing anybody any good by not telling them the truth and the truth is that if they don't believe in Jesus Christ they will go to Hell. Sorry, but some people need to hear that!

AMEN!!!! some people do get carried away sometimes in spreadign what they think is the truth. I also do not believe in hell. I also think they telling people they are going to hell will only push them away from God. We need to show everyone God's love kindness and compassion, not tell people they will go to hell

John the Baptist was the well known in-your-face evangelist. But he saved a lot of people thru this method.

There is nothing more unequal than the equal treatment of unequal people.

Different folks different strokes.

Agreed, you will always have a bad apple out of the bunch. I don't like to discuss religion as a topic of conversation either, unless they are very close friends of mine, and I am sure I will not offend them, otherwise I steer clear from the topic.
