Demonstrate loyalty, caring, and honesty over time. You can say the words all you want, but until they are backed up by actions, they won't be too convincing.

If you really want to do them a favor, don't bother.
Loving somebody and being in love with somebody are two widely different things. So wide it's a distance rarely made.
Your not in love. Believe me if you were this would be the last question you would be asking of any of us. Actions not words would have negated any reason to your posting "Ask" how to convince someone your in love with them.
Jeez, how pathic is that?
If two people are in love with one and another words aren't neccessary.
Sounds to me like your looking to settle for security instead of a real passionate love until something better comes along. It's a mistake, you will, at some time pay dearly for.
I can picture your shaking your head as you read this,..
hey, don't worry about it, it is what it is, no matter what I have to say, so don't let it bother you.
I'm sure if your like most people, even if I'm right, you'll do the selfish thing. It's the way things are today.

You say you truly love this person yet you took them for granted. That's not being a very nice person. Your standing won't be any better for admitting this. I certainly would think less of you for admitting it. I can understand why this person doesn't believe you truly love them. If you did, you could never take them for granted. So...I think you should sit and think about true love. While you may think you have true love...you truly do not. I'm very sorry, but when you do have it...then you will understand.

you will have to accept the fact that your actions created this problem and that you may not be able to fix it. You did this to this person. It is up to that person whether they accept your efforts to rebuild the relationship.
You screwed up. They get to say whether you are in their life, not you. They might think that you did it to me once, who is to say that you won't do it again.
Your behavior must show commitment. Your words are less than meaningful at this point.

your not saying if this is a family member or lover..if its a family member...showing and talking to them is all part of unconditional love which i think family should have..you may hate someones actions but...even hitler, charles manson and ted bundy had mothers!..again..you may HATE the action but the love is there...take time to show them...if its a partner, good luck!!..

Do anything and everything in your power. Something that is self- humiliating usually works well.
